Microsoft is making a change to multi-factor authentication (MFA). The phone call method will be removed to improve security for Microsoft. On March 19, 2024 PST the default MFA method will be changed from Phone Call to the Microsoft Authenticator app. You can verify your MFA configuration at https://aka.ms/MySecurityInfo and make sure that your devices are up to date. What is the Microsoft Authenticator app? This is a mobile application available for install on your smartphone or tablet as an MFA method to approve sign-in requests. Instructions for Microsoft Authenticator app installation and usage can be found on https://aka.ms/AuthAppInfo Why is phone call authentication being removed? To improve Microsoft’s security posture, we are transitioning users to more secure authentication methods. The phone call method enables you to verify your identity by calling your registered phone number to validate. This method is vulnerable to phishing attacks resulting in identity compromise. "Are you struggling to effectively manage and engage your volunteers? Look no further! Introducing Volunteer Management, the powerful tool that will revolutionize the way your nonprofit approaches volunteer coordination." Volunteer Management is a powerful tool that helps nonprofits manage and engage volunteers in a more efficient and effective way. The application is designed to streamline coordination, so volunteer managers can easily match the right volunteers with the right opportunities. One of the key features of Volunteer Management is the ability to publish engagement opportunities. Volunteer managers can design the opportunity, define the qualifications, skills, and shifts needed and make it visible to potential volunteers. This allows volunteers to easily find and apply for opportunities that align with their skills and availability. Another important feature is the ability to approve volunteers. Volunteer managers can review volunteer profiles and qualifications, and then approve individuals to participate in engagement opportunities. This ensures that only qualified and suitable volunteers are selected for specific opportunities. The application also helps to manage volunteer onboarding by tracking what stage of the process a volunteer is in. This allows volunteer managers to quickly and easily understand the progress of a volunteer and provide support if needed. Volunteer Management also allows volunteer managers to track attendance and balance shift volumes when an activity is happening. This means they can easily manage day-of activities and ensure that there are enough volunteers to cover all the shifts. The application also enables easy communication with volunteers through automated messaging. Volunteer managers can define automated messages to ensure volunteers receive timely logistics, training, and gratitude for their time. In addition to these features, Volunteer Management also provides volunteer insights, allowing volunteer managers to understand who is registering for, failing to show up to, and repeatedly contributing time to their organization. This helps volunteer managers to identify patterns and improve volunteer engagement. Overall, Volunteer Management is a comprehensive tool that helps nonprofits to effectively manage and engage volunteers, making it easier to scale missions and deliver vital programs and services. With its wide range of features, it is a valuable tool for any nonprofit looking to improve their volunteer management process. Edit: this has now been resolved in the latest version of F&E (dated April 2024) that now uses Stripe client-side tokenization. We have it working as expected in a test environment. Hi all We are in the process of linking F&E to Stripe (test mode for now) to take credit card transactions. In the Payment Processor I have set the Stripe Service Key field to the Stripe Publishable Key value. The API Key field has been set to the Stripe Secret Key value. This is not well documented, but @chrisw_tes advised this was working correctly for them in another post in this forum. These API credentials have been transferred into Azure as per the documentation. When I add a Stripe test credit card to a transaction (stage 1), it completes successfully and I can see a token has been returned in the Stripe logging. When I process the transaction (stage 2), if fails with "Unsuccessful response from Stripe - secret_key_required". I can see a similar error in the Stripe logging - suggesting a publishable API key has been used instead of a secret key, incorrectly. But the POST did include the token created in stage 1. So I tried setting both values in the Payment Processor to the secret key - but then the addition of the credit card (stage 1) fails, suggesting that "sending credit card numbers directly to the Stripe API is generally unsafe". Please can anyone offer some advice here - is F&E using the wrong key in stage 2 and this is a bug? Or have I made a mistake in the config somewhere? Many Thanks! Added a couple of members who have commented on Stripe in this forum: BobKanzler jjbh_ as they might well have some further insight! Thanks!Solved1.8KViews1like6Comments
