Restrict 365 to specific device or MAC address
Good afternoon We have different users in the field that need to access mailboxes and perhaps 365 apps, but they can't use MFA. We're looking into providing them with access to email (right now), but we'd like to limit it to a specific device or MAC address. Is this at all possible?
Audit Logs and OneNote pages
Hi All: I'm trying to run some audit log data on OneNote usage to get a sense of what's being used in the org. However, it appears that audit logs only track down to the section, which is listed as file. Anyone have an understanding of this and how to I might achieve what I am after? I removed all applications from my users because I only want them to try out Microsoft Teams from the whole Office 365 package. Nevertheless they are able to access Planner online services (only within their Office 365 Groups) and also OneDrive anyway. We are replacing the “Don’t AutoSave files in Excel/PowerPoint/Word” Group Policy setting with the new “Turn AutoSave OFF by default in Excel/PowerPoint/Word” Group Policy setting (one Admin setting per app). If you enable this new Group Policy setting, users can still turn AutoSave ON through two ways: For a specific Word, Excel or PowerPoint file, they can do so by using the AutoSave toggle. For all files by default, they can do so by going to File > Options > Save. If you disable or don’t configure this policy setting, AutoSave is set to ON by default. Users can turn AutoSave OFF through the same two ways mentioned before. Admins that have been using the previous Group Policy setting might want to set AutoSave OFF by default by using the new policy setting. Admins can also refer users to learn more about setting AutoSave ON/OFF through Microsoft Help Articles. Users can not override this setting. Admins are able to shut AutoSave OFF for the entire tenant, however users can turn AutoSave ON for their individual purposes or for a specific app. Why is it changing? Since the time we rolled out the old policy setting that allowed admins to disable/gray out the toggle, we received feedback from users wanting to have better control to turn ON/OFF AutoSave whenever they need to, such as to enable real-time co-authoring as well as avoid data loss in unexpected scenarios (e.g. power loss when working within Office). The new policy setting gives users better control over the toggle and still gives admins the ability to ON/OFF the toggle at the tenant level. When is it changing? Rolling out August 2019, CC. This change does not apply to Semi-Annual Channel, since the old policy setting was never rolled out. The new policy setting outlined here was rolled out to Semi-Annual Channel in September 2018. Note: We recommend that IT Admins who choose to deploy this Group Policy should have a user education plan in place to eventually enable cloud collaboration by default. For example, you could teach users about best practices and hold training. Once users are ready, they can switch the app setting themselves via File > Options. You could also start with rolling out the Group Policy setting with it default to OFF and then inform your users about changing the default to AutoSave ON in a specific time frame.
Run a report on a single user
I see in O365 where I can see usage data for the past week/month etc. It even shows me the top users. Is there a way to run a report on a single user? For example, I want to look at the O365 usage Email/onedrive/sharepoint for a single user for the last week. I have managers asking to verify that people are working and I am looking for some kind of verification from O365. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I'm working on the usual chasing Microsoft Secure Score, one that we have that gives points and takes them away on a weekly basis is this one below. We don't have the three items unchecked in User Roles to accommodate this recommendation. So I figure it is a bugged recommendation. Ensure users installing Outlook add-ins is not allowed However it would be nice to permanently make it so. However, we have another area in M365 Admin that has integrated apps configured for a handful of third party add-ins and of course the Teams Add-In for Outlook. Would this be affected by turning on the above recommendation? Or is this just if the end user goes to add one on their own? Thank you.

Hello, I have setup one dive business can I secure with a password , or if I setup MFA for the user will this secure on drive aswell, basically if laptop was lost stolen etc, so people can’t get access to the data. While investigating several APP issues that the user experienced, I came across this APP Install failure that I have been unable to troubleshoot using the approaches that are recommended. The failed status code provided indicates an unknown error, so where does one go from there?
