Camera and Mic Site Permissions
edge settings/privacy/sitePermissions/allPermissions/camera edge settings/privacy/sitePermissions/allPermissions/microphone I was looking to add some sites / urls to automatically permit access to both camera and mic to stop the age old i said no and now cant use service x type service calls from coming in. i added these 2 policies to the admin template Sites that can access audio capture devices without requesting permission Sites that can access video capture devices without requesting permission both succeed in delivery to the device but don't appear in the edge site permission list as expected have i got the wrong policy? is it broke?Noise Cancellation not working / Microphone treated differently?
Hello, with the new client, my colleagues report that they hear buzzing from my microphone as if Noise Cancellation is not on. It is set to Auto at the moment, and changing it to any other setting does nothing. Sadly, haven't been able to test more; anyone else experience issues with mics?
Audio issue with one particular user
Hello, I'm having a very odd issue with one of my coworkers. Any call my coworker is in with me, I have a tough time hearing him, his audio gets very muffled and cut off, but none of my other coworkers have this issue when they are in the same meeting. This happens when I'm in a one-to-one meeting with this coworker or a large group meeting with the coworker. It does not seem to happen when using my iPhone for the call, only when using one of my two laptops with my Bluetooth headset. Has anyone seen anything like this before? It's becoming very unproductive. I need to use live captioning anytime he's on a call to get an idea of what he is saying. My coworker has tried using his AirPods and his laptops mic/speaker and it doesn't seem to make a difference for me.
Teams User's Microphone Won't Work in Teams Calls, but Works in Other Apps
I have a user who cannot be heard in their Teams meetings. I removed and updated the driver on their mic, ensured it has permission to work with Teams, disabled and reenabled it, and verified it was routed properly in their system sound settings and within Teams. But they still cannot be heard. In other apps, like Skype, their microphone functions. When I'm in their settings, their mic shows it's picking up input as the bar jumps up and down as they talk. I had them do a test call in Teams, and they reported just hearing flickering and never hearing back what they recorded. I reinstalled Teams to no avail. Any ideas? We're on Windows 10 Enterprise, 64 bit Teams 1.5.00.21668
Microphone muting when entering call
Hello all, I have run a across an issue where a user's microphone is muting as soon as he dials out to an exterior number on teams and it will continue randomly muting itself throughout the call. This issue follows his account as we have tried to log him in on another device and it still occurred. It only happens on the Windows App, both the web app and phone app do not have this issue. Any ideas?Terrible mic quality on teams even with a good microphone
I have a RODE NT-USB microphone and use it on teams, however the quality in calls is terrible. I have tried every troubleshooting step possible to no avail. On discord the mic is perfect and no issues whatsoever. I even bought a new mic, AT2500X USB, and the same problem exists. I know my bandwidth is not an issues as i have fibre internet and a high spec pc. What is the issue and is there a fix? Thanks.(FIXED) Teams interfering with my system sounds and microphone
EDIT: If anyone's having the same issue i Managed to fix it by going to windows' sound control panel >communications and setting the volume adjustment for calls to "do nothing". This is still an odd bug though... Ever since last week the program has been lowering the volume of the system sounds, despite the actual volume and everything else on the PC stays the same, and also lowers the volume of my microphone when i'm not in a call. I thought the microphone itself somehow stopped working properly but as it turns out when i'm in a Teams call it works fine, but then when i leave the call it lowers the volume of the mic everywhere else. I don't seem to find anyone who's been having the same issues as me.
