Welcome to 2022 and a new era of Microsoft Teams evolutions! With the introduction of the Mesh Avatars, I realized that we might have been stuck on gear one for a long time regarding IT collaboration tools. We will take some time in this article to discuss that, and I will do my best to share what I love about this new capability and what I wish we could improve. So, take a good cup of coffee and stay tuned!Teams Meeting: Unable to Connect to Immersive Spaces
Summary In a Teams Meeting, when attempting to connect to Immersive Spaces, I consistently receive the error, "Unable to join. Failed to connect to Mesh service. Please try again later." Details Teams (Classic) desktop app version 1.6.00.30666 (64-bit) on a PC; screenshots below. I spin up a Teams Meeting Select my Avatar Start the meeting Select View > Immersive Spaces Go through the Immersive Spaces set up process, and on the final Immersive Spaces set up screen select Join now, and can never connect. I consistently receive the error, "Unable to join. Failed to connect to Mesh service. Please try again later." Thoughts? I can't find anything in regard to that exact error. Potential (known) bug? Something I'm missing on the Admin side? I'm stumped at this point. In the Teams Meeting, I select View > Immersive Spaces. Agree and Continue. Select Join now. To protect and respect the identity of the Avatar, I've blurred their eyes (jk). Then, I receive the error below every attempt. Troubleshooting I have the correct licensing (E3) and admin roles. Tried different computers (work and personal PC's). Tried different networks (work and personal / home). Fully quit Teams Classic desktop app and cleared cache several times. Restarted computers several times. Have tried to connect multiple times in a row across several days without success. As some guides have suggested, I don't have the Teams Mesh Immersive Spaces app pinned or active in Teams. In the event it's related, see my other Teams / Mesh Immersive Spaces issue post here. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!4.5KViews1like7CommentsWelcome to the Microsoft Mesh Creator discussion space: a hub for developers, artists, and creators

Hi Everyone, I was wondering if anyone else has been experiencing issues with adding the mesh app into Teams? When trying to add to a meeting or channel, I press add and it brings up a blank screen. This happens in the new / old windows client as well as the web app. I have no issue in accessing the mesh windows app, and have had several meetings through here, as well as on a meta quest device.3KViews0likes3CommentsTeams App: (Microsoft) Mesh Immersive Spaces - No Add Button
Summary The Microsoft Mesh Immersive Spaces app is available in Teams but it doesn't have an Add button. Details Teams (Classic) desktop app version 1.6.00.30666 (64-bit) I search for and can successfully locate the Mesh Immersive Spaces app. However, when I select it, there is no Add button. Thoughts? Note: Teams Admin Center The Mesh Immersive Spaces app Status is set to Allowed. For testing to rule out the "just in case" scenario, I also toggled its Allowed status from On to Off, saved, then toggled it back to On and saved. No change / impact on issue. Teams apps > Permissions policies The Global (Org wide default) policy settings for Microsoft apps and Third party apps are set to Allow all apps. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!1.6KViews1like4CommentsCollabration with non premium users
Hi, Sorry if its already answered. I've been experimenting with this recently and created a small demo. As of now, I exclusively hold a premium license for Mesh. With an upcoming collaborating session, not all participants will have a premium license. Should I acquire licenses for everyone? The collaborators won't need to use all the features of Mesh.999Views0likes3CommentsPassing live information from the scene to Cloud Scripting
Hello everyone, I am looking for a way to track the live position of objects in MS Mesh. I am currently exploring if this is possible to be implemented with Cloud Scripting. However, when an Event is called like "Selected", only the initial information of the scene is presented. So when a user is moving an object, I am currently unable to track this. 1. Is it possible to update the scene/DOM in Cloud Scripting while running the application? 2. Is there a way to send additional information to the Cloud Scripting environment? 3. Is there a way to implement custom Cloud Scripting Events or EventArgs? 4. Am I overlooking something and there is an easy way to track the live position of objects? Additional information: I am working on a research project where I would like to use Microsoft Mesh. To properly implement this, I would need to gather live data from MS Mesh, like the current position of Objects or Avatars. I tried multiple things but did not come to a solution. The "PositionChanged" does not seem to be called. According to the docs, I can get "Hit info, relative to the local coordinate space of the InteractableNod" which does not help. I found http://relative%20to%20the%20local%20coordinate%20space%20of%20the%20InteractableNod post, saying that Cloud Scripting <-> Visual Scripting is not possible. Thank you in advance for the help!Solved772Views0likes2Comments
