In the old version of an app indicators existed against each machine as to their connection status - Red Dot: a window is open for the machine but it is disconnected. Green Dot: a window is open for the machine and it is connected. I work in an environment where I have between 8 and 10 machines open at any point in time. These dots were great to determine which ones had a window open and were connected. Losing this UI element in the new version is certainly a regression.101Views1like12CommentsWindows App Disconnects my Remote session randomly
It seems the Windows App (for Mac) disconnects me from my Remote Desktop session randomly. It could stay connected for a few seconds or unto 45 minutes. Doesn't matter if its idol or if I am doing something... I am using WireGuard but have also tried with L2TP and get the same results If I connect from my Windows VM using Wireguard and Remote Desktop all is good so everything is pointing to Windows App. There are a couple of entries in my Console relating to Windows App when it crashes but that couple be for any reason... Anyone else have similar or could offer any help please let me know128Views1like2CommentsPlease improve MS Teams experience
My impression is that the RDP app is now being marketed as the default client for windows 365, while the everyday business users of the MS Teams platform are completely forgotten. Please improve the following aspects: 1. MS Teams must work properly after Mac OS updates. Apple releases developer versions of the operating system six months in advance. Why MS Teams is not tested at all ? Every year after the update we have problems with calls. 2. Camera support - the camera has a cropped image in the preview for the user while it shows a wider image to others in the meeting, why ? It is confusing for us users. 3. Device handling in Teams - Logitech BRIO camera when starting Teams flashes before turning on. I can't control audio volume from windows (only Mac level control dl whole system changes anything). Please take these comments seriously, I have dealt with both Citrix and VMWare Horizon and for me how RDP works in the context of Teams and working on a remote desktop every day is the absolute worst experience.... There should be absoultely no difference in user experience between the windows and Mac OS versions....Keys not working when connecting from Windows App on Mac

I am using MacOS Sonoma 14.7 and Windows AppVersion 11.0.0 (2372) on Mac. Final Update - Problem seems to be resolved: I realized that this problem was also happening when using the Windows App on Windows, and it was only happening while I was connected to one of my devboxes. Apparently, that devbox machine had "ditto" installed. Ditto is a clipboard manager which can keep a history of items on the clipboard. Apparently, when I uninstalled ditto, the problem just disappeared. I did not test it, but ditto app might be causing this problem even on every remote desktop connection. Anyways, I leave the original problem I was experiencing here, just to let other users know about it: Original Problem Description: When clipboard mode is set as Bidirectional or Local to Remote only, if I use the Mac Screenshot tool to copy some portion of my desktop, and then paste into some app running on my mac (e.g., One Note), remote desktop connection freezes, and I often have to close and reopen the connection. Sometimes, it unfreezes after some 15-20 seconds. This problem does not happen when the clipboard sharing is Remote to Local only. It does not matter if the region of the screen I copy is from my remote desktop, or from another monitor's Mac desktop. It looks like the screenshot image is trying to be synced back to the remote desktop connection, and that causes windows app to be stuck. Update: The problem also happens if I open an image on my mac on the preview app, and then copy the image to the clipboard, which causes a similar hang up. This is an image of size 1.6 MB only. It does not end there, when the last item on my Mac clipboard is an image, the freezing even happens if I restart the connection. It looks like windows app is freezing while trying to transfer the clipboard contents from the local machine to the remote machine. It would be better if this operation could be done in background without harming the user's experience.Devices that are updated to MacOS 15.01 will have frequent disconnects when on RDP sessions
Hi There, We're facing an issue with the Windows App for MacOS devices. When one of our users upgrades to the latest MacOS Sequoia update, version 15.01. They will face constant disconnects on RDP connections to servers. Often with the error code which will be attached to the support ticket. The connection will last from only a couple of minutes, with the longest anyone has managed being around 30 minutes at the most before dropping out. Since we have teams that need connections that last longer than 30 minutes, this is becoming very disruptive. This doesn't impact those on previous MacOS versions or other operating systems. Work around methods when looking online into this suggest turning local firewall settings off, which isn't possible due to company policy. Thank you.331Views5likes6Comments
