I am getting reports from many of my users across my organization that when they try and join a Teams meeting hosted by an external third party (such as a vendor, partner, or customer), that the meeting never connects if they click Join from the Teams calendar. However, if they go to the same meeting request in Outlook, they are able to join via the web link. Is there any particular reason my users cannot join a Teams meeting being hosted by an outside resource directly within Teams? All of our users have been migrated to Office 365 and Exchange Online, and Teams works pretty much flawlessly otherwise. RESOLVED - It was Mimecast causing the issue, we simply added a https://infosec.force.com/ISIcommunity/s/article/Mimecast-Whitelisting#url for teams.microsoft.com to Mimecast, so did not put a mimecast.com security URL in its place.Solved34KViews0likes3Comments1-Click Join Teams Meeting
Is there a way for me to set up a link where I can click on it and it will allow me to join a Teams meeting as a guest? I am trying to set up a page for advising where students can click on a link that will allow them to join a meeting with an advisor, with no need to log in. I have seen it on a site, and I want to know how it can be done. So the process would be: 1. Student sits down at computer 2. Student goes to site, finds and clicks on advisor link 3. Student connects with advisorSolved15KViews1like4CommentsAttendees unable to join Teams Meetings
I had a meeting and external attendees who were sent the invitation got the following response: Unable to open the helper application...Meeting_xyblahblah..... The protocol specified in the address is not valid. Make sure the address is correct and try again. Has anyone had the same issue and what is the fix?13KViews0likes2CommentsPersonal Teams Account - Cannot Create or Join Teams (Office 365 Subscriber)
I just left a company that used Teams, and no longer have access. However, I appreciated the functionality, and still need Teams access to be able to join other Teams for collaboration or create my own. As such, I signed up for an Office 365 account this week. However, when I sign into Teams with this account, I have no option to create a team or join someone else's team. The only options are Activity, Chat, and Calendar. Even utilizing a link from a collaborator to join their Team does nothing. Is there a step that I am missing? I have read on multiple other sites and they all seem to point to restricted access. However, since this is a personal account, unrelated to any business, I do not see how this could be the case for me. Any insights on how to fix this or how to join my clients' Teams?3.6KViews0likes2CommentsAVD Domain Join Errors
Just curious of other people are seeing errors during domain join when creating a new AVD pool in ARM, but when the VM's are checked they were successfully joined. I have seen this several times in the last three months. What it looks like to me is that the template in the ARM tries to perform the join while the new VMs are coming out of Sysprep, throws the error message, then later successfully joins the VMs. The one time I did get into a VM that had this error, I was able from within the VM using a Bastion connection, join the computer to the domain using the same service account credentials I had specified in the ARM.2.7KViews0likes0CommentsAVD Re-join AzureAD / EntraI
Hi everybody, I have an issue that I accidently did a "dsregcmd /leave" on my Azure Virtual Desktop machine. The environment is Cloud Only so I don't have an Active Directory onprem. As today everything worked good but I had to move the AVD to another subscription. The login for the users didn't work anymore so I tried differtent things and the last one was the dsregcmd /leave. One of the worst decicions of my life. Does anybody have an idea how I can rejoin this VM back to Entra without creating a new VM? There are several applications with many custom changes so that a new VM would be the worst. I tried dsregcmd /join /debug which ended in error code DsrCLI: logging initialized. Cannot start Task: 0x80041326 Failed to schedule Join Task. Error: 0x80041326 DeleteFileW returned 0x80070002. I tried dsregcmd /forcerecovery /debug which ended in the error code CAA50024 and DsrCLI: logging initialized. DsrCmdRecovery::DetermineIfRecoveryIsNeeded: DsrGetJoinInfoEx returned no join information. DsrCmdRecovery::DetermineIfRecoveryIsNeeded: Forcing return of S_OK instead of S_FALSE. DsrCmdRecovery::DetermineIfRecoveryIsNeeded returned 0x00000000 (NEED RECOVERY). DsrCmdRecovery::NotifyUser returned 0x00000000. The command az vm extension set --publisher Microsoft.Azure.ActiveDirectory --name AADLoginForWindows .. gave me an feedbach with "Succeeded" but did't change anything. How can I rejoin this device to Entra so that the users can login with their Entra Identities again? Because it is a multi-session-AVD I don't have the options to join this device to entra in Settings > Accounts..... I hope someone can help me with this problem.Solved2.2KViews0likes3CommentsOne meeting, everyone joins, apart from one, who person, who joins a meeting on their own!!
The strangest thing happened (twice now). We had a meeting scheduled, at the allotted time everyone joined the meeting like normal, except one person. That one person gets no notification that the meeting has been been started. When selecting it from their calendar, no-one is listed as having joined the meeting. If they themselves click join, they end up in a meeting all on their own. And all the while everyone else is in the meeting as per normal, wondering where this last person is. Restarting Teams makes no difference. This has happened twice now, once to me, and once to another member of my team, different meetings on different days with different people. Is this a Bug / feature / something else? Either way it's a pain, and it's disruptive.Solved1.7KViews0likes2Comments
