Embedding Word/Excel files from OneDrive into a webpage via iframes stopped working
As of ~10/31/2026, the iframes display a blank window instead of the expected .DOC/.XLS content. Affects both brand new files AND old files that were previously embedded and working prior to 10/31/2026. To replicate, try to embed an Excel file into a webpage per these instructions: https://support.microsoft.com/en-US/Excel/share-it-embed-an-excel-workbook-on-your-web-page-or-blog-from-onedrive. Or Word via https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/onedrive/how-to-add-an-embedded-document-or-picture-into-a-webpage. Symptoms appear to be identical to an earlier instance that occurred from 8/21/2026 to 8/27/2026 (see support case #7107584914). Issue exhibits whether source .XLS files are created by Excel for Desktop vs. Excel for Web. Files open and share normally from onedrive.live.com, but will not embed. Browser-independent, occurs on Edge, Chrome, and Firefox). DevTools\Console reports “Uncaught Error: Script error for "odsp.react.lib".
Content of iframe embed of In-meeting app turns grey
Hi, we have a working integration with MS Teams. We've built it upon In-meeting app experience. Some of our customers started to complain that shortly after the integration app starts to load, whole embed iframe becomes grey (HTML document is empty, console is clean). Their experience looks like this:   Not much is going on there, right? 🙂 We've tried to investigate what's wrong, trying to debug it on our part. During the debug session with client, we were unable to open DevTools of this iframe (customer has Developer Preview with Upload of custom app turned on). Once the page turns grey, the whole debugger gets disconnected, so we were unable to continue with debug session.   Version of Teams where this bug was reproduced: 1.5.00.8070 (32-bit) / 1.5.00.8773 (64-bit) both Windows. We also have customers on Mac reporting same behaviour. We think, that it might be issue https://github.com/electron/electron/issues/21834, but it is difficult to confirm.
