hotmail
3 TopicsCan't login to Hotmail with Safari, Chrome, or Edge...
This is a major issue that should not exist. Whenever I try to login using one of those 3 browsers, I get the "too many attempts" message. The same thing happens if I try logging in with a private window in any browser. I don't think they can give me any good reason for this happening. It still happens even after clearing the cache/cookies. I can login in just fine with Firefox, even with my extensions enabled. Another issue (and one that I feel is completely stupid on the part of Microsoft), is that when I tried to login to this forum, it was automatically logging me in with the saved business account (only used for website email). It did NOT give me the option to sign in with a different account. So, I had to completely clear the cache/cookies in Firefox to be able to login here (totally ignorant). Why does Microsoft do stupid stuff like this? Are all of their coders so clueless that they never think to give us options? I don't want to automatically sign in with the business account - I only want to sign in with my personal account. It really shouldn't be that hard for them to figure out. If anyone has any ideas on why this is happening, or why Microsoft feels the need to do dumb stuff, let me know. Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. P.S. I see so many sites pushing passkeys now, but I don't want that (and I highly doubt it would fix the above issue(s)). They keep claiming that our passwords are insecure, yet my passwords are not getting hacked - only their servers are.23Views1like1CommentRecovery does not work for suddenly blocked hotmail account
Hi, I try to help a friend who is suddenly locked out of his hotmail account. The account was made very long ago, so unfortunately the recovery emailadres doesn't exists any more. We did the complete recovery process (twice already) and were able to give exact emailadresses and email subjects like requested. Immediately after submitting we received this: We have determined that the information you provided was not sufficient for us to validate your account ownership. This cannot be reviewed by a person in zero seconds. And the automated system clearly fails! What extra info can we give? Also: We have taken the additional step of blocking your account until we can verify you as the account owner. This will prevent any further use of the account and protect you from any possible malicious activity. So the blocked account is extra blocked? How can we access the account again? The owner is not good with computers (that's why I help him) but he needs his account for important documents like his paychecks, contracts, tickets... Thanks, any help is appreciated!1.9KViews0likes2CommentsHACKED ACCOUNT
