guest users
31 TopicsVideo viewing for tenant guests
We have started using Stream for our intranet as the place to upload and link videos from management etc. This all works well for normal users, who can access the videos both on desktop and on the go in the mobile clients. But the trick is for guest users. We're talking about users that are added in the Azure AD, and have access to other services such as Teams, Sharepoint etc, so not anonymous users. But streams are not available for these users. That much is clear when googling the issue... It's also clear that anonymous/public video sharing in Stream is on the roadmap, and targeted for Q4 CY2020. But what is the story for guest access? We are not necessarily looking for public/anonymous sharing of videos, we still want to be able to control access to the videos, but not restrict ourselves to the "full" users. Is there anyone that has heard/seen anything on this? Thanks, and stay safe! /GustafGuest Access for iOS??
We rolled out Microsoft Teams and Planner for a project at our organization. We have guest access turned on and enabled across Teams and Planner and everything seems to be working well. However, we noticed that our guest users do not seem to be able to access Planner thru the iOS app on their phone. It just says "Can't open link - You either don't have access to this item or it has been deleted" Is this a settings issue or something that isn't available on the iOS app yet?2.7KViews2likes6CommentsAdding external users to teams
The big "sale" at MS Ignite 2017 for Teams was the ability to add external guests to your team. In session after session this was demonstarted. Even at their booth at the exhibit hall, I went to ask questions to confirm setup and usage. I was exicted as we have been waiting for this feature. I get back to my office and attempt to set it up and it will not allow me to add external users nor receive external emails to the team. I have gone through all the steps I can find, even ran through a hands on lab a second time. Opened multiple tickets with Microsoft Support and they said it is not possible to add external users, nor received external mail inside a team. Can any one give me guidance on how to make this work? 20171018 Update - my teams are not allowing for O365 users to be added either (not just gmail accounts). However have gotten further, seems to be a certain way you must add to the group first then to the team in order to trigger the "welcome" email. Working with Microsoft support engineer and still researching but have gotten further. Please reference Christopher-Graves response, he is the closest yet to understanding and finding a solution. Roadmap as of an update yesterday shows "guest" in testing and development - odd.Solved31KViews2likes26CommentsGuest access to Teams in another Tenant after Tenant-to-Tenant migration - not working
We have migrated a domain to a new Tenant. Users have same UPN in the new Tenant as before. Some of our users are also Teamsguest in other Tenants - but after the migration they cannot login anymore. We have tried to get new invites from the external Teams but without any luck. We see the Tenant selection in Teams and can select the external Tenant but it just returns to our own Tenant. Any thoughts on this? -ThomasSolved6.7KViews1like1Comment
