3 Topics[SOLVED] Forward M365 Admin Status Emails
Hi guys, I'm struggling to receive my status-Emails from AdminCenter oder EntraID. Background/ Issue: we use dedicated Admin-Accounts for the M365/O365 administration (as it should be), roles are assigned through PIM. Each of these accounts do not either have a mailbox nor any assigned licences. However, if I would have a mailbox created, I would receive Status Emails like some Admin account activated a role through PIM hence which I do not receive at the moment. Is there any feasable and managable way to forword these Emails to my (normal) user mailbox? I already tried with Mail flow rules in Exchange Online to forword these mails, but still a trace tells me 550 5.1.10 (address not found; obviously). Another idea was to set up a contact to achieve this, but as the Email address (UPN) already exists, this is not a possible solution as well. Is there a way to achieve this (maybe there's an easy solution an I only used the wrong search criteria in Google ;))? Many thanks in advance and cheers Matthias.Solved1.5KViews0likes2CommentsPossible to show forwarding address instead of original sender?
We use a ticketing system that accepts forwarded mail and puts the mail into categories, based on the forwarded address (like mailto:helpdesk@company,com or mailto:humanresources@company.com_ I have enabled forwarding via a contact in the Exchange Management Console, and that works fine. The problem is that the end recipient system needs have the emails from the forwarded account (mailto:helpdesk@company.com) and not the original sender. It appears this this is by design in Exchange; anyone know a work-around?Solved1.8KViews0likes3CommentsMigrating forward-only emails from IMAP server
Hi, I'm testing a trial of M365 Standard and have picked up a problem with my email addresses. I currently have four or five email addresses for old staff that are no longer with us, and these emails are set up to forward to another email so we don't lose anything. Occasionally we still get emails through these addresses, so decommissioning them completely is not an option. I want to migrate the old data from the server to M365 (to keep all our historical data in the one place) and continue to forward any new emails that come in to an actual M365 user. I considered creating a shared email address for each one...... I found a 'Manage Email Forwarding' link under one of my staff's user details in the M365 Admin Centre, however this link is not available for the users that were created by the shared emails, there is a message saying 'This user doesn't have an Exchange Online license.' I could leave them set up as shared emails but this isn't perfect, as to get access to the mail in those mailboxes without forwarding it appears I would need to log into each mailbox individually, or have each mailbox set up in Outlook and check them individually. How would you migrate those mailboxes? I can't really see a way to do it, however I am completely inexperienced with Exchange so I may just be missing a simple way to do it. Thankyou 🙂1.7KViews0likes1Comment
