external links

my department has a spreadsheet we all update for inventory. Now that we have all put in our information we now get this pop up that states "we can't update some of the links" every time we open the file. SO ANNOYING. I know i can't set it to never update or prompt but i want to RESOLVE the Issue not put a bandaid on it. following what I could on some forums I have tried to break the link in edit links but selecting Break link does nothing. I have tried to go through the work book and figure out what cells are using the source. i have even recreated the work sheet and did a copy and past special values & number formatting hoping i would loose the external link. still no luck. there was another forum that mentioned deleting the entry in name manager but i get no option to delete the object. I just want to remove the reference to the external link or find a way to narrow down what is using that external link exactly. also throughout the workbook the worksheets do have drop down menus10KViews0likes6CommentsEmbedding a list of external URL's into a sharepoint page.
To keep things easy for users, I wanted to create a very simple table / grid of links , that go to external reporting pages. I tried initially embedded HTML + inline CSS into an 'Embed' element, only for that to simply generate an error, eventually I uploaded an HTML page to Sharepoint Site documents, and used the embed link for that, however, ALL anchor tags ONLY open when CTRL / Command - Clicked, and don't open like normal tags, even with Target= "_Blank" etc.. Am I missing something obvious ?3.4KViews0likes2CommentsInsert a link to a cell in other worksheet in Excel Office 365

Hello, I have 5 different excel files that need to link and automatically change the numbers in my consolidation overview for my company. This seems to work perpectly fine when I am doing this on my own computer, however, when I share the files with my collague the external links between the 5 excel files and the consolidation don't work work anymore. With this in mind, my aim is to get 5 different locations to work on their own individual sheets whilst constantly keeping the consolidation up to date. Please can someone help me? 🙂1KViews0likes1Comment
