Today I came across this extension when browsing Windows store https://www.microsoft.com/store/productId/9P59WXTBHZZM I could install it without any issue but the thing is it doesn't work when I have the Stable version of Chromium based Edge installed. clicking "launch" opens the new Edge only, nothing else happens. I think the proper way to handle this situation is to either hide these extensions from Windows store once the new Edge is installed, OR show a message to user that: "it's not compatible with the current installed version of Edge browser". My suggestion is to add the new Chromium based Add-ons to the Windows store to be easily available and installed by users. https://microsoftedge.microsoft.com/Solved5KViews4likes8CommentsSPFx Extension ListView Command Set in Microsoft Teams?
Hi everyone, What am I doing? I am doing a proof of concept (PoC) with an SharePoint Framework Extension ListView Command Set in my personal tenant. I have used this command (ClientSideExtension.ListViewCommandSet) to show the SPFx Extension in the library 'ribbon' and in each library item. (The next image is in Spanish but it's no too complicated to understand the problem) What do I want? I have upload an SPFx Extension ListView Command Set to a SharePoint library. And what I want is to show this SPFx Extension in a Microsoft Teams channel that has a 'tab' connected to the mentioned SharePoint library (as you can see in the next image). What is the problem? When I connect my SharePoint Library with my Teams channel and I click an item, then I cannot see the SPFx Extensions Command Bars (but, obviously, I can see the default SharePoint bars). Which is my question? Do you know if it is possible, at this moment, to show an SPFx Extension Command Bar associated to an SharePoint Library in its Teams view? (The next image is in Spanish but it's no too complicated to understand the problem) I hope you can help me with this problem. My office uses Server 2016 RDS servers with UPDs and FSLogix. We have installed the Edge Insider Preview on the RDS servers for testing. I was hoping to install the LastPass extension for Edge Insiders, which I used successfully on my personal computer. However, when trying to install extensions in Edge Insider, I get this error: We had previously had a similar issue when we installed Google Chrome on RDS, and the fix was to create a separate policy that sets the temp directory in Chrome to the user's %localappdata%\Microsoft\Outlook\ChromeData directory, so the temp files would be included in FSLogix. I was hoping to do something similar with Edge, but I don't see any way of changing the cache directory in Edge. Can someone point me to it? If it's not possible, can it be submitted as a feature request? We can't install extensions in Edge using FSLogix without this ability. Thanks!4KViews0likes1CommentExtensions are not being updated automatically nor manually if downloaded from Google web store
Extensions are not being updated automatically nor manually when a new version of them becomes available in Chrome web store where they were first downloaded from. one of those extensions are ublock origin. *when I say manually I mean going into extensions page and manually clicking on the update button. So with the prospect of the Set Tabs Aside arriving much later (or not at all as guessed by folks like Thurrott.com) I was wondering if anyone knew of an extension that provides the same function? Its the thing I miss most from classic Edge. When I'm researching something its crucial at the end of the day to be able to just save it all and walkaway, and honestly I don't care if that functionality is baked in to the browser or provided by an add-on. Thank for any recommendations.Solved3.5KViews10likes10Comments
