Classroom components missing
After completing SDS sync (no errors), activating the class, waiting overnight we are still having these issues with our SDS classroom teams. Issues reported: Can not attach file to an assignment (says try again, all file types from all locations) Classroom notebooks can not be created (says Retry) Students do not see assignments Assignments disappearing from team Student work folders are not created after an assignment has been added Issue #1 Issue #2 Anyone else experiencing these issues? For this 2025/2026 school startup we are experiencing issues with SDS Classroom teams not finishing all of the provisioning required. My feeling is that SDS is taking longer to finish the backend functions that happen after creating the security group, team, then classroom layer. This is eventually working on some teams but the experience is not consistent. This is only happening with SDS Classroom teams, all classroom teams created manually are working as expected. We typically have ~ 5000 SDS classroom teams / year.
Urgent - SDS didn't create group or teams
Hello, everyone. I have a problem when synchronizing SDS to create Teams teams. I created the CSV files and synced them. He didn't give any mistakes and everything turned up right, but he didn't create either the MS365 groups or the Teams teams. What could it be? How often does school data sync run? Are there any criteria that need to be fulfilled? I have seen SDS get data, do a run... but not a full run it seems since all teams are not updating. On the evening i see teams being updated instead when a second run have gone by. So it seems each run does not do the same thing? Can i force run the SDS if we have sent in much new data and i want to see the teams update fast?School Data Sync - how to use Powerplattform together with SDS data that is imported?
How can i access the data that SDS is using from the powerplattform. If we import students, parents, schools, groups and classes etc. How can we fetch the imported data and the results of SDS work? I would really like to find a good option to access this data. This would open up so many possibilities to use the powerplattform and create tool based on the correct data imported via SDS.
Schoolmaster Magister connector to School Data Sync
Hello, I am writing this just to inform you that I have written a Magister connector script that is called TeamSync. This provides for a connection between the Dutch Magister leerlingenadministratiesysteem (school Information system) developed by Schoolmaster, and School Data Sync, in order to synchronize teacher and student members to the classroom Teams. This script is published under GNU General Public License v3 in https://github.com/sikkepitje/TeamSync . It generates CSV files in SDS format V1. Thank you 🙂

School Data Sync (SDS), https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/schooldatasync/ (published date 09/30/2017) says: "School Data Sync (SDS) is a free service in Office 365 for Education that reads the school and roster data from a school's Student Information System (SIS). It creates Office 365 Groups for Exchange Online and SharePoint Online, class teams for Microsoft Teams and OneNote Class notebooks, school groups for Intune for Education, and rostering and SSO integration for many other third party applications." And https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/schooldatasync/frequently-asked-questions (published data 04/15/2018) still say: School Data Sync is a free service in Office 365 Education that reads the rosters from your SIS, and creates classes for Microsoft Teams, Intune for Education, and third party applications. ... SDS allows you to automatically create Class Teams within Teams for Education (There are likely more references to SDS creating Teams that could be found) - perhaps someone could update these references in light of https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/schooldatasync/whats-new-with-school-data-sync (published date 03/26/2020) and https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/schooldatasync/improved-class-and-roster-sync-for-teams (published date 04/14/2020) to explain the difference between the ways Teams are provisioned for sync profiles created before and after 3/26/2020?
