Hello, one of our developers is trying to use the Azure Data Catalog API in conjunction with Postman. I have forwarded him documentation on how to use the API in Visual Studio, but he would like to use it with postman instead. We can get as far as obtaining our access token, but access is denied when trying to access our catalog through the API with Postman. It does work when using the visual studio solutions provided in the examples here https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/resources/samples/?service=data-catalog&sort=01.7KViews1like0CommentsThree new reasons to love the TSI explorer
Today we’re pleased to announce three new Time Series Insights (TSI) explorer capabilities that we think our users are going to love. First, we are delighted to share that the https://insights.timeseries.azure.com/demo, the visualization service of TSI, is now generally available and backed by our SLA. Second, we’ve made the TSI explorer more accessible and easier to use for those with visual and fine-motor disabilities. And finally, we’ve made it easy to export aggregate event data to other analytics tools like Microsoft Excel. Now that the TSI explorer is generally available, users will notice that the explorer is backed by TSI’s service level agreement (SLA), and we’ve removed the preview moniker from the backsplash when the explorer is loading. We have many customers using TSI in production environments and we’re thrilled to offer them the same SLA that backs the rest of the product. The https://action-point.com/iot-predict/ solution is a great example of one of those customers using the TSI explorer to enable their customers to explore and analyze time series data quickly. Read about it in the https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/three-new-reasons-to-love-the-tsi-explorer/.811Views0likes0CommentsMicrosoft Purview Best Practices

Hi, I am exploring what is available in the free version of Microsoft Purview's Data Catalog Solution. I want access the below given free features that come with this account type, as mentioned https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/purview/free-version#data-catalog: Azure assets in your data estate are available in the Microsoft Purview Data Catalog without any set up needed. The data catalog automatically records data schema so users can explore data sources before accessing them. Data owners can add information like description, classifications, and contacts to their assets to provide users a more complete picture of their data estate. With current privileges, I am not able to view data schema of any of the assets or the data sources. Edit any asset to add information even though I am the data owner of some azure databases and Fabric Items. I am not able to see metadata of the Fabric items that I see under browse section in Data Catalog. Below given image shows what all I can see in live view of a Fabric asset Questions: Do I need to be added to a data curator to have access to these features? What are the steps to get assigned as tenant admin, global admin or Microsoft Purview admin so I can create domains/collections>assign myself to a data curator role? Do I need to register and scan data sources in order access metadata in data catalog free solution? Please let me know if I am missing any steps in order to access the features of the Data catalog that comes in free version and if I need to have additional permissions in order to gain access to the same.331Views0likes0CommentsPurview Data Governance: Grant access to business consumers search Unified Catalog "Data products"
Hello Team, I am in Microsoft purview as regular users (business Consumer) to search in Unified Catalog for organization data associated to customers. The administrator told me they granted me the following roles: Data Map collection: Data Reader Governance Domain: Local Catalog Reader. Governance domain Published Data product published: I am able to connect to Purview unified catalog > Discovery > Data Asset and see all the data asset in the data map collections. however, When I try to access Purview Unified Catalog > Discovery > Data Product > search keyword "Customers" which is a published data products, I got error 403. Please see the images for the context. the Microsoft documentation is very confusing about how business consumer can access the data products. How can I grant access to regular users to search corporate data in Purview Unified catalog for data products?148Views0likes3Comments
