I want to turn off or hide the draft with copilot dingbat that follows my cursor around in MS Word.
I have seen a few articles on this website, and I know it's not possible but I'm going to ask anyway. For reference this is what I'm referring to: It's more I find the little thing following me around on my screen to be annoying and distracting, I've managed to hide or disable anything related to copilot on my system except this little dingbat. When a new document is open you get a little message that says "Select the icon or press Alt + i to draft with copilot" It would be nice if I could hide that as well, yes copilot is a *feature*, and I don't care about it. I also want to hide the paste with copilot and just used the local paste options that were built into previous versions of word. I suspect that there is a copilot dingbat that is stored somewhere on my system, possibly in a font, and as I have already made a few detrimental modifications to my operating system registry, I'm not wary of messing up my computer any more than it could be. The only saving grace I have at the moment is there is an issue with my account, so any accidental triggering of the feature causes it to crap out. (So long as I don't accidentally press the 'fix account" button) I know that if it was easy to turn off there would be a button for it, I know Microsoft probably wants us to use this feature because it means more data for them to collect, an I'm disappointed in the loss of user agency that's resulted from this rollout, and there's a spike in animosity towards AI in general.
Copilot on Word App on iPad - how to turn off?
I’ve managed to turn the wretched thing off on Word on my desktop and laptop after updating to latest versions and the “disable co-pilot “ checkbox finally appearing in settings. but how on earth do I turn it off on my iPad as it doesn’t have a whole load of settings for the app? I have office 365 personal subscription. #co-pilot
Microsoft copilot stops while giving a response.
Why is this happening? Is there a solution for this? It just stops while giving response. And it has happened several times. And you can't even give prompt to continue from there. You should restart it. Does anyone have a solution for this? and I have restarted and reinstalled it 1000 times.
How to remove Copilot from showing up on web-based apps?
Hello, I predominantly use Outlook through the website via Chrome. I also use OneDrive, Excel, and Word through Chrome quite often. I had a tech person walk me through removing Copilot from my computer's apps - the actual programs - but it's still showing up on my website uses. I do not support AI, AI is absolute trash, and I want Copilot completely eliminated from everything I use. I am tired of having to close the Copilot 'summary' that automatically pops up at the top of all my emails. Is there an easy way to completely eliminate this, or am I doomed? Thank you!
Copilot 365 plugins for Word / PowerPoint
Hi, I've successfully created plugins for use with Copilot 365 in Teams and Outlook. However, they aren't showing up in the list of plugins in Word Copilot (I only see "Web search" there). Is this a current limitation or something planned for a future update? Or is there already a way to use plugins in Word and PowerPoint? I thought it was officially available because I saw it demonstrated in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I44RtBr01Lw&t=366s (minutes 6 to 7). In the video, they mentioned it would be available by early Q3 of 2024, but we’re already in Q4. Do you have any information on this? Thanks!
How to remove copilot dingbat in Word for Mac users?
My Microsoft apps updated this morning and I opened my manuscript in Word to find this flashy, annoying, distracting copilot icon that is driving me insane. I read about some Windows solutions to get rid of it, but they don't translate to the Mac settings. Does anyone know how to make it go away on Mac??Cost for family on copilot

Error while trying to use Copilot in Excel
I get the following error constantly: "As a Microsoft 365 Personal or Family subscriber, you'll be able to use Copilot when you're signed with your Microsoft work or school account (Entra ID) and Microsoft personal account. However, that ability is not yet available." What to do?
