Turn the "Show more options" context menu into a slide down menu and show those extra options in modern style Change the Windows 11 context menu so that when user clicks/taps on "show more options", the context menu expands and the rest of the options become visible in the same modern style with a sliding down animation, possibility with the ability for user to scroll up/down through the options (with mouse wheel or touch). Missing OneDrive options in classic context menu - Windows 11 24H2
HI A few days ago, OneDrive options have gone from the Context Menu (classic - I didn't go back to a new context menu). That happened on two computers OneDrive version 25.149 (I enabled preview as I thought it may solve the problem, the issue happened once I was on the production version) I found an old topic there with registry key deleting, but I don't have these keys. My menu looks that: No option for OneDrive - share, download, save on disk, previous version. OneDrive is set to files on demand. Is there any option to restore this option? Without resetting OneDrive/reinstalling it?
The Right-Click Menu in Edge Is a Mess — Let Us Customize It
I’m writing this out of sheer frustration. The right-click context menu in Microsoft Edge has become a bloated, chaotic mess. It’s packed with options I never use, cluttered with features I didn’t ask for, and completely lacking in user control. Every time I try to do something simple — copy text, inspect an element, save an image — I’m forced to wade through a swamp of irrelevant entries. Why is there still no native way to customize this menu? No toggle, no drag-and-drop, no “hide this item” option. Just a static wall of Microsoft’s assumptions about what I need. I’m not asking for miracles. I’m asking for basic UX respect: • Let users remove or hide items they don’t use. • Let us reorder the menu so frequently used actions are at the top. • Let us disable features like that we don't use without having to dig through obscure settings or registry hacks. This isn’t a niche request. Just look at the Remove unnecessary items from right-click menu in Edge | Microsoft Community Hub thread — users have been asking for this for years. The silence is deafening. Edge has come a long way, but this context menu issue is a glaring oversight. Please, give us the power to clean up our own workspace. We’re not asking for less functionality — we’re asking for control.Soon we are getting more mini/bubble style context-menu options on Edge
Edge Canary has this option in the appearance settings (controlled feature rollout) "Mini menu when selecting texts in PDFs" is referring to this but notice, it's not just a single toggle button, in fact it's an item of a longer list, or group. also obvious when you look at that part in dev tools. another sign is that at the top it says "Context Menus" yes, plural, more than one. my guess is that more of these bubble/popup style menus will show up soon. the next place is probably going to be Immersive Reader mode, where you don't have to right-click on highlighted text anymore, or keep going up and down to use the toolbar items repeatedly. you just highlight a text and all the available options will automatically be presented to you. it could also hint at customization abilities that might be coming to the regular right-click menu and maybe let us customize each option that appears there, to shorten it and tune it to our needs, since many people, including myself, complained that it's getting too long
[Feature Request] Advanced search engine control
There's a chromium fork called Cent Browser, which have a feature that allow users to search for selected text in non-default search engines, by right-clicking and choose "Search other engines for" submenu. I used to use this browser and changed to edge for a year, and every time I have to copy.the text and paste into the address bar to search with a specific SE. It'll make Edge more powerful if there's such a submenu in Edge, and a selector on the search sidebar, and if possible, a SE selector in address bar just like Firefox, as not everybody can memorize all SEs in their browser. It'll be even better if there's a hide option to hide some of the SEs from the submenu and selectors (still can be used by abbr. + Tab key).
