Where is Teams meeting hosted?
Hi all, Old memory started to running in my head, and I found Tom Talk's article: Where in the world will my Microsoft Teams meeting be hosted? Where he wrote: "Your Teams conference location is allocated at the time the first joiner joins (not the organiser, but any first joiner) and it is automatically allocated to the conferencing service in the region nearest to that first joiner." Question is. is this still valid? If this is still valid, them any thoughts how about the EU companies which are under the EU privacy regulations and all data should be kept inside EU boundaries. how much this behavior breaks this regulation rule? In case that you are in EU but invite person outside EU, and that person joins faster than you into that meeting.Shifts documentation?
Is there more technical documentation on Shifts out there? I see this Manage the Shifts app for your organization - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn, but it says nothing about using the employee's location to validate clocks ins/outs. I can't figure out how to export Tags to Excel. And I can't find information on how long the data is available to comply with retention needs. Any links beyond the basics, any guidance appreciated.

Does going for teams as Partner hosted solution in India with direct routing is as per compliance of Indian TRAI? there is a requirement of having the PBX ( teams/SFBO/Cisco) and gateways(SBC) physically on the premises for annual compliance and audit purposes.
