The computer's indicator lights are working normally, but the screen won't turn on. The manufacturer recommends resetting BitLocker. After entering the unlock key, the screen goes blue, and I can't enter Safe Mode. Boot keys like F3 and F7 also don't work. How can I fix this?14Views0likes0Commentshow do i copy text from images in windows 11?
I have some images with text in them and I need to copy that text out, but I can't select it the normal way since it's embedded in the image. Typing it out manually isn't really an option when there's a lot of it. I'm on Windows 11 and I'm wondering what the best way to handle this is. I've heard the Snipping Tool has some kind of text extraction feature now, and I also saw PowerToys mentioned somewhere. Not sure which one actually works well in practice or if there's something even simpler I'm missing. A few things I'd like to know: Does Windows 11 have a built-in way to copy text from images without downloading anything extra? Is the Snipping Tool's text feature reliable, or does it miss a lot? Would PowerToys Text Extractor be better for this? Are there any free tools worth trying if the built-in options don't cut it? The images are mostly screenshots and scanned documents with printed text, nothing handwritten. Privacy matters a bit too, so I'd prefer something that doesn't upload my files to a random server if possible. Any help appreciated. Thanks!6Views0likes0CommentsWhatsApp Windows app: No way to sync to phone, no way to backup chats
Windows 11 v. 25H2 When I installed the Windows WhatsApp app, I linked it to my phone. 99% of my messages are on the Microsoft App, not on my phone. There seems to be no way to link them, or to backup. The two devices are not connected, and there is no way to sync them. According to AI, they are likely running separately, on separate programs --- one on the phone, and one on the Windows App None of my backups are saved anywhere on Windows. AI had me look in several places, and they just aren't there. There seems to now be no way to update the app or backup what is there without forwarding it chat by chat to myself, but even then, it can't be restored. Is there something AI missed? Is there any way to fix this without losing all of my chats? My son lives in Europe and all of our chats are on the Windows WhatsApp app.43Views0likes3CommentsThinkstation P310 SFF operating system missing after KB5083769 update
I was wondering if anybody had the same problem after installing. The computer has a Western Digital NVme drive. After restarting the computer the system would post with the message: Error 1962: No operating system found. Boot sequence will automatically repeat. I accessed the bios and disabled the secure boot and reset the certificate, saved the settings, restarted, windows update finished and was able to get to the desktop. Are there any other instances happening out there? Or, is this a common thing happening?64Views0likes2Commentshelp with ram usage

I am now at a complete loss. I have been online with Windows support and after hours of trying to fix my problem they have told me they cant help and I should look for help elsewhere. This kind of feels weird and strange if Microsoft cant fix a Microsoft problem. I have Windows11 Pro (25H2) and cannot create a recovery drive. All the usual fixes have been tried and no joy. For example. Cannot down load Recover version to use. Have Downloaded both ISO English (USA & International) Cannot do a install as it say it cant confirm if my pc is compatible with windows11. It is of course and windows runs (Almost Well) currently. Have replaced install.wim also install.esd no success. Everything else was tried by Microsoft. Any comment would be very welcomed.75Views1like5CommentsSell you a broken Product; Charge you to fix it...
That's basically the characterization I have for Microsoft Windows. Each OS upgrade has become progressively worse. Win 11 is the latest in a parade of failing OS versions, which boggle the user's minds. I blame it on the abusive practice of H1 Visa outsourcing. Those 'developers' are giving us exactly what their employer is paying for. Win 11 just illustrates that they can't hide the elephant anymore. The key difference is in how users and developers perceive desktop metaphor. Clearly not in sync. In the beginning. the plan was simple. Evolve the tasking of file management from dark, herculean path navigation to eye-candy point, click and drag navigation. It was pretty brilliant and sensible. It should have ended there, save for some tweaks on file manipulation. The metaphor enveloped a western philosophy: Meet the target objective in its simplest, most efficient, cost-effective manner. In other words, task goals were tacit and conclusive. But then, under the auspices of H1 recruiting, that western tact morphed into a new metaphor. The "Zen" of design. Ends became secondary and the metaphor changed to means...or "process illustrious". Thus, the marketing sales pitch used to be...'Find the meaningful solution to a specific, meaningful problem and then build the button to execute the solution'. Now the pitch is: 'Build a button and see if we can tie it back to something useful'. As such, Windows has grown into a smoking Jalopy; replete with endless bells and whistles. To be fair, there is evidence that suggests they can still maintain reasonable security updates...until they can't. Seems like an endless chase. If I were CEO of Microsoft... I think I would fire the entire Windows Development Team and start new, clean slate on de-behemothing this arduous OS. My screening would necessarily require high triple Digit IQs, with a pension for OCD. The success of windows rests exclusively on the team that develops it. It's just a pity that marketers got their meat hooks on the product. Nary a bigger collection of shoe-shufflers than them. As suggested; Microsoft is the only company I know of that can sell you a broken product and then charge you money to fix it.Solved67Views0likes4Comments
