I'd like to know if their is a trick or JSON view formatting I can change so I can group all the items on a list in gallery view are grouped vertically by a certain list value (in this case the region which is a choice field). The image I attached helps explain what I mean. I like the exact card width used because 6 options across works perfectly actually.8.3KViews0likes4CommentsSet column value based on another columns date
In Document Library i have a column with a date. This date is filled out by a Power Automate approval flow. We alse have a second column which has 3 choices. >2 months old, <2 months old, >4 months old. As i understand sharepoint calculated column can't use TODAY() or NOW(), so i must use conditional formatting? I need help with JSON formatting to: - if date in column "Approval Date" is more than 4 months old, set value ">4 months old" - color RED - if date in column "Approval Date" is more than 2 months old, set value ">2 months old" - color orange -if date in column "Approval Date" is less than 2 months old, set value "<2 months old" - color green I could run a flow daily to update this, but i think that is waste of computing resources, when maybe conditional formatting can do the trick? Optional: If possible they should be the new type of formatting of choice with rounded colores around text?Solved4.7KViews0likes3CommentsSharePoint List Card Designer
Hello, I have multiple columns in the list that are set to be a "Multi-line text" field. When I switched the list view to "Gallery," I noticed that none of the multi-line text fields showed up on the gallery/card view. I checked the card designer, and those columns are not even included in the options to be displayed in the gallery/card view. The only way to see those field is to click on the card and open the right side panel on the screen. Is there a way to include/show multi-line test column field in the card view?Solved9.2KViews1like1CommentPeople/Group Column Converts Name to a Number in SharePoint Online
This error is occurring in several site collections throughout our environment. We have a list set up with a People or Group column. The list will display the name in the first item as expected, but converts all of the subsequent item names to seemingly random numbers. When navigating to the list, the entire list of names appears correctly but as soon as the page fully loads the fields flip over to display the numbers. We have found that if the People or Group column is set to sort A-Z, the names will display correctly. Has anyone else encountered this behavior? Any suggested troubleshooting steps? This is a standard People or Group column in the list (not a site column) and there is no custom formatting associated with the column or the page.6.1KViews0likes7Comments"Hidden" columns in SharePoint list aren't being hidden from the form?
I have a list in SharePoint Online where users can create new list items by filling in various details within a form (using the modern experience). The list uses some workflows which required me to create some hidden columns. When the user creates a new list item, I want these columns to not be visible on the form. I'd previously configured the columns to be set as "hidden" which worked fine up until recently. Now, these columns are displaying in my form despite being set to hidden. In terms of solutions I can see that the columns are successfully hidden in the classic experience. However, when showing this site to staff I've always used the modern experience, using classic would only confuse people and also looks very dated. It was also working fine in the modern experience before. The other option is to use a PowerApp. However, the form has some append-only comments, something PowerApps does not display correctly or support currently. Any help would be great!21KViews0likes11CommentsApply view only for a specific folder
Hello everyone I have a folder within a default document library which is connected to a team in teams. So, in this folder I have documents that must be sorted by its number in the file name. Example: File_1 File_2 ... First, I figured out that it isn't possible to sort numeric, if the number is only in the filename. SharePoint will then sort it like: File_1 File_11 File_2 ... Very frustrating but okay. So, I created a numeric column that can be used to sort the files properly. But what I noticed is that the column is now visible in the whole document library 😞 So now my question: Is it possible to apply the column to only being visible in this specific folder where I need it? I tried it with different views and so on, but it seems that this cannot be achieved. Thanks for your help.8.3KViews2likes1CommentFile Ordering help
Hi there, We have set a file/folder structure so that the top level sites are 1, 2, 3 4 then the subfolders within are 1.1, 1.2, 1.3 etc. For some reason if we set the column order so that is orders the files and folders by this number is does this: 1.1 1.10 1.11 1.2 1.3 1.4 1.5 1.6 1.7 1.8 1.9 It sets 1.10 and 1.11 (and so on) next to 1.1 in the list although it should be ordering so they show after 1.9. Can you help with this please? It's making the file order very confusing. Thanks980Views0likes0CommentsDefault custom columns when creating new site
Hi, I would like to set a custom column as default, so that when a new site is created, it will appear visible automatically. This custom column contains a link to a flow and it is a site column (it is a column formated with JSON to add the link). Is this possible? I find it very strange that no one has asked this before, or that this is not an option! Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!1.7KViews1like1CommentSharePoint Online Modern Page Calculated Choice Column in Document Library
Hello, we would like to create calculation that can offer different choices based on another column value. Example: We have a choice column called “Object” and the user can able to select the following values: Books Gadgets Furniture Then we have a calculated choice column called “Object Type” that should offer options based on the selection value in “Object” column. If “Object” = ‘Books’ then, "Object Type" choice options needs to be: Fiction Non-Fiction Educational Children's Books If “Object” = ‘Gadgets’ then, "Object Type" options needs to be: Cellphone Game Console Cameras MP3s/MP4s Would this be possible to do? We tried adding a choice column in a Document Library but we weren't able to click the selection unless we enter Quick Edit mode.6.1KViews0likes5Comments
