Hi all, As you may have noticed already, we as the Excel Team have done a bit of "spring/summer cleaning" for the community. We have received feedback that the number of "spaces" was simply too many at nine, so we have pared things down. Now, there are three community spaces: Excel: this will be the primary place for posting content, as many of the old spaces have been migrated as labels will find a good home here BI and Data Analysis: this will be a good place for posting about tasks and questions that cut across Excel, Power BI, and other topics in this realm Resources and Community: this will increasingly become a place for folks to share sample files and templates with each other Q: What happened to the other spaces that used to exist? A: They have since been rolled up as "Labels", which you can find in the "More Resources" sidebar under "Labels" of any of the three spaces mentioned above. Look for these on the right side: Please let us know if you have any other questions. Hello. I have researched how to do this but I don't get the same command. I simply need to change the selection of which column of my data gets shown in the line, and which ones stay as columns in a combo graph. I really need this for PPT but the problem happens in Excel too: at the point right after I select "Chart type / Combo / Clustered Column - Line" there is SUPPOSED to be (according to all the videos and articles) a box that says "Choose the chart type and axis for your data series." This does not appear. This image below is what I actually see - after I select Combo chart then I do not see "how choose the chart type and axis for my data series" This is sample data that would underly the chart. I want the totals to be the line and the individual sales by week to be the columns. Here is the help article showing me what I should see: You see that box at the bottom of the screen "Choose the chart type and axis for your data series."? I can't find those commands. I don't get that option. I have spent 4 hours online research and 2.5 hours with Office 365 help and still can't solve this.30KViews2likes1CommentThe problem with copied Excel charts and data
I often customise a chart, then copy both chart and data to another area ready for new data. I then amend the copied data, e.g. to show sales of a different business. If you do this too, you will encounter a problem… What you expect: The copied chart should be linked to the copied data – this is logical but not what actually happens. What you get: The copied chart is linked to the original data so doesn’t change when you amend the copied data. The selected data for the copied chart must be manually edited. This is a pain. ☹ And when you do that, you may well notice a second problem… If you have edited the original chart e.g., changed line colours, added customised markers and data labels, these are mostly lost when you amend the data source in the copied chart. ☹ ↪ The workaround You can copy the entire sheet, then cut and paste the graph on the copied sheet back to the original sheet, but this is inefficient. You may also have to edit the axis labels e.g., for years if these were linked to a row at the top of your (copied) worksheet. ✔ The proper solution Dear Excel development team at Microsoft… will you please fix this? PS I am using a laptop with Windows 10 and Excel 3659.1KViews2likes2CommentsComprehensive Excel Course

Each lesson has an exercise file, which you can download from the link in the description. Watching the videos is fine, but if you want to learn how to do things mentioned in the videos, you should do the exercises while you watch. All the examples are based on real business cases. This course was not made by an Excel teacher, but an Excel professional, who has made a career working as an Analytical Manager in multinational Consulting, FMCG and Pharmaceutical corporations using the skills you will learn during this course. These two courses have all the knowledge needed for typical Excel tests, which are common at job interviews for corporations. The Advanced Excel course finishes with many authentic tests, like the ones conducted by corporations.1.1KViews1like2Comments
