1301 TopicsRestrict Service to a specific user
Hello! I am wondering if it's possible to restrict days a service is available for specific staff members? I have a Service that is available Monday-Friday....but some members of staff only work parttime for this service and are therefore cannot be shown as available for that service only on certain days. This would be fine if they only needed to be available for that service as we would then just edit their availability on the calendar at staff level. HOWEVER, the issue comes as these staff members do work on the other days but for different services and therefore they do need to be available for the full days - but they can't be available for that service on specific days. i.e. Joe Bloggs works Monday and Tuesday and available only for Service #1. Joe Bloggs works Wednesday-Friday and available only for Service #2. Jane Doe works Monday-Friday and available for Service #1. Both Service #1 and #2 are open to book by the same end user and therefore, ideally, need to be part of the same Booking system. Is there a way to restrict a service to specific days but only for specific staff members?Solved20Views0likes1CommentBookings service not accessing Outlook Calendar Entries and double booking
Hi there - in the last week or so my bookings page has not registered busy periods from my Outlook calendar and therefore double-booked times for people using my bookings service. Does anyone know if something has changed in the last week or so to cause this and also how you can fix this issue as it renders microsoft bookings useless for me currently?Solved23Views0likes1CommentBookings notification email does not include custom field information
Bookings notification emails only include the service name, customer name, and date/time. It is important that other fields, especially custom fields and the person with whom the appointment is made (as applciable), are included in the email notification. Otherwise, it is too difficult to understand with whom the appointment is made or actions that need to be taken to prepare for the appointment based on the data collected from custom fields. This lack of data makes Bookings nearly useless except for personal bookings where only one person needs to know info about their own appointments.3.8KViews4likes13CommentsBookings Services have all disappeared on shared Bookings page
Has any one had the issue where suddenly all services have disappeared from the services list and can no longer see them in calendar view in our shared bookings page. Appears to be a Microsoft issue, but wondering if anyone has received any solutions to this or reasons why it's happened in the past?49Views0likes2CommentsAllow booking by invitation only? Single-use booking URLs?
We are trying to find a way to allow the public to book appointments for covid vaccines, but we need to pre-screen each person first to determine eligibility. If someone is eligible, I'd like to send them a link to a bookings page to schedule their appointment, but I need to ensure that they can only schedule one appointment using the URL I send. They should not be able to schedule an appointment for a second person using the same link. Is that possible?5.8KViews6likes10CommentsTime off for Booking schedule
I have created a Booking Calendar for a training plan that will last 4 weeks. I am not available on one of the days due to a conference in middle of the calendar. I see documentation about Time Off for a Booking but don't see where this is done. Is this still available?52Views0likes1CommentMicrosoft Bookings double-booking staff despite busy calendar entrie
Hello everyone, We are experiencing an issue with Microsoft Bookings. Our setup allows external customers to book appointments via the published booking link on our website. However, we have noticed that staff members can still be double-booked, even when their Outlook calendars show them as “Busy.” Here’s what we have already done to try to resolve the issue: Ensured that the option “Events on Office calendar affect availability” is enabled for all staff in Bookings. Verified that in Outlook, the staff calendars have appointments marked as “Busy” to reflect their availability. Shared staff calendars with the Bookings account and set default permissions to “When I’m busy”. Checked that the booking page settings are set to respect staff availability. Despite these steps, the system still allows bookings to be made during times when staff are busy. Our staff mailboxes are hybrid (both on-premises and in Exchange Online), and we are running a hybrid setup in general. We are wondering if anyone else has experienced this issue and if there are recommended solutions or workarounds. Thank you for any insights!65Views0likes1CommentOutlook entries not appearing in shared Microsoft bookings page
Hi, I want to use Microsoft bookings as the primary calendar system for my company. We currently use Outlook calendar. However, when I click into Microsoft Bookings calendar, it only displays appointments booked via Microsoft bookings. Yes, "Events on Office 365 calendar affect availability" toggle is enabled. Microsoft bookings correctly blocks off time that is busy in Outlook, I just can't see any of those Outlook entries in Microsoft bookings. How can I fix this please? I don't want to have to flick between Outlook calendar and Bookings calendar. Thanks, Irene56Views0likes1CommentMS Bookings glitches across timezones
Hello, thanks for reading. Problem: Staff calendars not appearing properly across time zones in MS Bookings In Microsoft Bookings, staff create recurring Free slots in Outlook to mark availability for schedulers. These slots always display in the business’ timezone, regardless of the viewer’s timezone. However, all other calendar items (including Bookings appointments, as well as outlook events) shift to the local timezone of the calendar viewer. This mismatch causes schedulers to place appointments that appear to fit to them, but staff in other timezones see them shifted outside the intended Free slots, creating conflicts and misaligned bookings. Example: Business timezone = MST. Scheduler timezone = MST. Staff timezone = PST. 1. Staff creates a recurring Free slot from 12:00–1:00pm PST (which shows correctly as 1:00–2:00pm MST in the shared business calendar). 2. Scheduler (in MST) books a 1:00pm MST appointment, believing it fits inside the Free slot. But on the staff’s Outlook calendar, the booking appears at 12:00pm PST, which is outside their Free slot, and at an objectively different time. I have verified that the staff and scheduler have correctly identified their timezones via Outlook on the Web > Settings > General > Language and time > Current time zone.44Views0likes1CommentURGENT: several meeting connection links for the same BOOKINGS event
Hello, We have noticed several problems, including a particularly serious one on BOOKINGS, calling into question its use in our organization: We use a booking calendar to manage our training schedules because there are several trainers sharing several sessions. All trainers are administrators on the BOOKINGS calendar. We notice that when we assign several employees/trainers to an event then the tool will generate several links and therefore several TEAMS meetings which will be sent to the trainers and participants. This leads to the trainers receiving a different TEAMS invitation from the clients/trainees and therefore us not being able to find ourselves on the same TEAMS session. For example today we had an event with two employees/trainers providing training and 16 participants. The two trainers received a TEAMS link with 5 clients and the other 11 clients received another one.....we had to meet up on the session with the 11 clients after one of them sent us the link via a private TEAMS conversation. This does not happen when there is only one employee assigned to the event. This is extremely annoying and we don't really know why this is happening and how to fix this problem. Thanks in advance.506Views0likes2Comments
