Hello everyone, I am trying to create a new Azure subscription, but Azure returns the following error: You can't add a billing profile. Your billing account has a past due balance. After investigating with Azure Portal and Azure CLI, I found conflicting information. Current Account Status Billing Account Status: Active Agreement Type: Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA) Account Type: Individual Role: Billing Account Owner No active Azure subscriptions Billing Profile Azure CLI returns: Billing Profile: TWJS-5ASF-BG7-PGB Status: Disabled StatusReasonCode: PastDue Azure Portal Information Azure Portal shows: Amount Due: $0.00 Outstanding Balance: $0.00 Payment Method: Active Overpayment Credit: $0.04 No unpaid invoices are displayed in the portal. Historical Invoices Found via Azure CLI I found the following invoices: G007411389 Amount Due: $4.69 Status: Unknown G008278248 Amount Due: $17.21 Status: Unknown G008948077 Amount Due: $16.18 Status: Unknown G009572675 Amount Due: $16.32 Status: Unknown What Confuses Me Azure Portal indicates that there is no outstanding balance. However, Azure Billing API still reports: Billing Profile Status = Disabled Reason = PastDue a { text-decoration: none; color: #464feb; } tr th, tr td { border: 1px solid #e6e6e6; } tr th { background-color: #f5f5f5; } Because of this, I cannot: Create a new Billing Profile Create a new Azure Subscription Questions Is it possible that these historical invoices are still causing the Billing Profile to remain in a PastDue state? Has anyone experienced a situation where Azure Portal shows $0.00 due but Billing API still reports PastDue? Is there any way to reactivate the Billing Profile without direct intervention from the Microsoft Billing team? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.21Views0likes1CommentAADSTS5000228 - Locked Out of Trial Tenant
I created a free trial tenant, and was immediately locked out. Upon doing research, I basically discovered that the tenant is locked due to unknown reasons, and I have to contact support. I have tried calling 4 different support numbers a total of 8 times. I have never made it through the laughable automated phone system to a real person, I eventually get hung up on for no reason. I've tried creating chats from personal accounts to basically just be told to log in with my new tenant account and submit a ticket. I can't log in, I would love to be able to log in. I am at a loss for what to do. I can't open a case. I can't call a number. I can't log in. Does anyone have any advice on how to get this taken care of? At this point, I just want to cancel the tenant so when the auto-renew comes up, it doesn't charge my card.305Views0likes1CommentMicrosoft Defender for Servers and Cost Management and Billing
There is currently no way to itemize the total cost of Defender for Servers at the Virtual Machine level. When The Defender for Servers Plan is enabled at the Azure subscription, billing for all servers in the subscription is rolled up to a total amount at the subscription. It is not possible in Cost Management and Billing to see the cost for the Defender for Servers Plan for a particular Virtual Machine resource or resource group.6.2KViews0likes5CommentsLive Monitoring Billable Network Out for Current Day
Hi All, Problem Unable to monitor network usage for the current day for a subscription or resource group to identify the number of bytes which are billable. More Info I am looking for a way to query the Network Out for selected resources to identify how much data has gone in and out for the current day. The reason for doing so is to identify if any users on a system are moving huge amounts of data out of a resource in order to prevent/notify large billable data transfers as they are happening. Clarification I am aware that Data Out + Billable Data metrics can be queried for a resource group or subscription after the day has ended, I am looking for a way to do this for the current day. Cheers, Stu2.7KViews0likes6CommentsWhat is Monetary commitment balance
Hello all We have a "pay-as-you-go" Azure subscription. We get a bill every month based on our usage. We also have Microsoft EA agreement. Recently I came to know that our licensing department receives an email with subject: Microsoft Azure Service Monetary Commitment Balance and Unbilled Overage Summary and it has a table with $ amount in a table like this: Monetary commitment balance Unbilled overage charges This is not a bill. This is a notification of usage. If you would like to view the full usage summary that breaks down these balances by month and service, please log into the Microsoft Azure Enterprise portal. Can anyone please explain what Azure Monetary commitment balance is? And if it is not a bill what is the meaning of that balance?6.6KViews0likes0Comments
