I am using a Samsung S24 FE phone, and the Microsoft Copilot app is not working. When I open the app, I only see a black screen. I cannot open any menus. I cannot create or search for anything. There is only an empty home screen with dead buttons. I cannot sign out of my current account, nor can I figure out which account I am signed into (it logs in automatically). Here’s what I have already tried, but the issue persists: Enabled all permissions in the app settings. Deleted and reinstalled the app. Cleared the app cache and reopened it. Cleared the app data and reopened it.37Views0likes1CommentOnenote Problems on Chrome OS/Chromebooks
Can the Onenote for Android team give any info on the state of and plans for Onenote for Android on Chrome OS? I've noticed that even when on the same version number the Chrome OS approved version lags behind both design and feature-wise. For example the Chrome OS version doesn't have sticky notes even when you resize the window to phone size/aspect ratio. Also the typing experience is sub-par at the moment because unlike all the other Office on Android apps, Onenote doesn't accept mouse input except dropping the cursor on a spot on the screen. You can't drag to highlight, double click to highlight, right click for actions or copy/cut/paste functions anywhere in the interface. It makes the experience very unpleasant typing wise. I could use Onenote Online but the feature parity isn't there especially for pen input. It would be much appreciated if the team can speak to any of these concerns. Been an Onenote user since the Surface RT came out so I really want y'all to be great on every platform and dominate the market so please don't take this feedback as negative.Solved8.9KViews2likes9CommentsOpen shared Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files on Android devices without a Microsoft account
Hi, Microsoft 365 Insiders! My name is Juan Karmy and I’m a Product Manager on the Office team. Back in March, we announced Anonymous file sharing for iPhone and iPad. I’m excited to announce that we are now extending Anonymous file sharing to Android. Note: Files shared using an Enterprise account will still require recipients to sign in. Others can now open files you share with on Android devices without being signed into a Microsoft account We're extending the ability for recipients of shared files using their personal Microsoft account to open and view them in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for Android without signing in. To make edits or leave comments, they will still need to sign in with a Microsoft account. This means that you can now confidently share documents, worksheets, and presentations, from your personal Microsoft account, and make them available for review with others while giving recipients an effortless way to open and view the content on their mobile devices. How it works Make sure you are signed into your personal Microsoft account. Open a Word, Excel, or PowerPoint file that you want to share. Select Share > Link settings (the gear icon in the top-right corner), ensure that either the Anyone with the link can edit or Anyone with the link can view option is selected, and then select the Apply button. To share the link with others, type their email address in the Share dialog box, and then click the Send button, or click the Copy link button and paste it in a message created using an app such as Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Teams. Note: Choosing the Anyone with the link can view setting will allow users to view the content of the file but not edit, even if they are signed in. When recipients open the link you shared with them, they'll be able to open and view the file even if they're not signed into the app. Availability File recipients, running Version 16.0.18827.20066 or later, will be able to open files anonymously using Word, Excel or PowerPoint on their Android devices. Note for our users in China: The use of our iPhone, iPad and Android apps is subject to the Personal Information Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China, including opening files anonymously. For more information, please visit: https://personalinformationprotectionlaw.com/ Feedback We’d love to hear from you! Please send us your feedback by selecting Settings > Send Feedback in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint for Android, and use #AnonAccess in your comments so we can quickly identify feedback about this feature. Hello, I am attempting to edit a word document saved on OneDrive. I have the 365 app. The document opens and states I cannot edit unless I sign in. When clicking to sign it, it then states it cannot put my personal email (which is what the subscription is under) I need to put a work or school email and if it doesn't work then to contact said work or school. However, my subscription is my personal email and I am logged into the app with my personal email. I'm confused and need support please! Exact wording opening document: "This account does not allow editing on your device. For an account with full access, contact your organizational out your subscription plan" **For reference: I have frequently used my android phone for editing documents Exact wording when signing in: "We couldn't find a work or school account with that email address"760Views0likes2Comments
