active directory sync
4 TopicsI don't know how OneDrive works (sync): delete a file, it deletes from everywhere (not backup)
Hello. Thank you all. I post this example because I don't know if I'm missing a step or I'm wrong about how OneDrive works and what for. If get synchronized with OneDrive for Photos folder (and its subfolders), it works good and photos from my cellphone are stored in device gallery and uploaded to OneDrive as expected. iF I delete one photo from my device, or to delete one photo in the Windows/PC, it deletes from OneDrive and all the Synchro Devices (as expected). How can I save my local files with a backup on OneDrive, deleting them from my PC or device folder and still have a "backup" stored in OneDrive? thank you again !4.1KViews0likes3CommentsUsing the <Start-ADSyncSyncCycle -PolicyType Delta> command remotely.
Hello all, I have an Exchange Hybrid between Office 365 and Exchange 2013 on-prem. For this to work we have the Azure AD Connect application installed on the Exchange server. It syncs every half hour and in order to force a sync, as needed in certain situations, we login to the server remotely and run the command <Start-ADSyncSyncCycle -PolicyType Delta> to force a sync. Works everytime and this makes sure that the Active Directory users attributes related to mailbox parameters are copied between the cloud and on-prem. I have tried initiating a remote Exchange Powershell session from other Exchange servers using <Import-PSSession> and <Enter-PSSession> after creating a New-PSSession. This all works but I get an error when I run the command <Start-ADSyncSyncCycle -PolicyType Delta> in both Import and Enter PSSession options. Any Ideas on what I am doing wrong would be greatly appreciated. I am new to the ocean of Powershell so I am pretty sure it is user error on my part. We have Intune setup with an Hybrid AD (onpremise DC synced with Azure). About 50% of our devices show as error for password expiration. They are all on the same domain with the same GPOS internally that expire passwords every 90 days. Intune device configuration policy matches that with 90 days. I have made a few updates to contacts/guest accounts and fixed some names and other user details in on-premise AD. I see that there was an AD Sync after changes were made. However, the Teams client has not updated. How long does it take for this to happen and is there a way to force/push these changes to the clients?Solved4.5KViews0likes2Comments
