My problem started with a few macros in Word (Office 365) crashing Word, then the list macros, while still showing up with Alt+F8, disappeared from VBA. I played around with templates and such, and now have the VBA showing the whole list of macro scripts. However, there is a red scroll icon on my macros list and I have had the message "Your organizations administrator turned off the service required to use this feature", which is odd because I am the administrator (this is a home Office 365 subscription). So I can see the macros in VBA but I can't run any of them, nor can I create any new macros. How do I get my macros up and running again? (I tried to 'repair' Office, and after the full repair ended up with a version of Word that isn't as customised as it used to be.) And what might be the cause of this problem?26Views0likes0CommentsOld Microsoft Office 2010 (Unknown version) license
Hello everybody, I've been having an annoying activation problem with my old Microsoft Office 2010 license because of a number of reasons. In order to provide relevant details of my case, I've made a list of peculiar characteristics of this device and this Office 2010 license bought long ago and installed in a corporate CPU now under maintenance. Original Microsoft Office 2010 (Unknown version) license provided in a DVD case was bought in 2011 or 2012 for corporate purposes, purchase not performed by me. The software was originally installed in my corporate CPU, but the case with original intallation DVD was lost over the years after several administrative changes Serial product number was carefully kept by me in an anticipation of the possibility this DVD could be lost, which came true over the years. CPU is monitored in a corporate environment and has a specific Microsoft Windows 10 license unknown by me, which DOES NOT INCLUDE Microfost Office, though. This CPU is an Intel i3 with 16 Gb of RAM memory on a 64-based Windows 10 Home Single Language OS, version 22H2. Microsoft no longer provides support for Office versions older than 2013, therefore preventing me from finding a solution in Microsoft documentation and automated Microsoft Internet tutorials/assistants. I've risked downloading and installing a non-official Microsoft Office 2010 on this CPU from a third-party website with no relationship to Microsoft because of its absence from Microsoft official sources with good results. Activation fails continuously, though, even when I copy and paste the correct serial Microsoft Office 2010 serial number I have in my backups. I have a strong suspicion this has to do with the wrong software version (Home & Student X Pro), but I am not entirely sure of it. Product number error code is 0x8007232B My corporate environment does not provide Microsoft Office to all of its computers because of budgetary constraints and the availability of alternative freeware. Moreover, they are located in an institution completely separated from where I work, because the Windows 10 version I currently use is registered with the local regional Government under an institutional corporate e-mail completely apart from this centralized IT facility. This organization is called PRODESP (https://www.prodesp.sp.gov.br), which in turn is understaffed and deals with all kinds of issues, with a particular focus dedicated to financial issues, because of the countless employees the Government of Sao Paulo State (Brazil, South America) possesses accross the entire State. Recently I tried some alternative Office suites but neither option I tried had an advanced "Find and Replace" tool which only Microsoft Office has, which made me even more strongly attached to my user experience with Microsoft Office 2010 and this is why I would like to continue using it despite this license being now almost 15 years old, and its broad operational compatibility with the current Microsoft Office 365 version, particularly with regards to file formats, recorded MACROs and many other aspects not of interest and neither discussed here. An illustrative screenshot with my problem shown on it is provided below here too. Any help from whoever is able to help me solve this problem would be greatly appreciated, particularly if provided by a Microsoft representative. Thank you.124Views1like1CommentDefault blocking of macros ???

I have set my Onedrive as a trusted location and I still have my macros blocked ! I have a laptop with W10. I went to power & sleep settings. I set "On battery power, turn off after" to NEVER. I set "When plugged in, turn off after" to NEVER. I set "On battery power, PC goes to sleep after" to NEVER. I set "When plugged in, PC goes to sleep after" to NEVER. ... Can anyone explain to me why my computer keeps going to sleep when I leave it, open, plugged in, untouched? Is this really too hard?52Views0likes1CommentI can't add an O365 email to Outlook desktop client but I can access it from the web
I can't add a O365 to Outlook desktop client but I can access from the web This a weird thing, whenever I try to add in Outlook from File > Add Account I get the message "Something went wrong and Outlook couldn't set up your account". From Control Panel > Mail > Email accounts > New > Manual Setup > here I put the email and gets stuck at "Searching for... Settings" and then " An encrypted connection to your email is not available, click Next to attempt using an unencrypted connection", so I do that and get the error "We're sorry we couldn't set up your account automatically. To try setting up the account yourself click Next" which is basically the same. Everything works fine in the browser, any ideas on this?17KViews0likes8CommentsI want an alternative to Windows 11 moving forward....
I've been using Windows 10 for a ridiculously long time, I recently tried out a Windows 11 PC and the file explorer and OneDrive integration was extremely annoying. The worst part about the file explorer was that many of the functions I used on Windows 10 with the right click was hidden behind the "more options" on the right click of windows 11, which essentially opened up the Windows 10 right click menu behind it. The whole Windows 11 experience felt like a really bad skin cover up over a Windows 10 computer. The "open new desktop window" was ridiculous. I really feel like it's more difficult to be productive with windows 11. I make music with my P.C. and I edit videos, and I also browse the net. I do think it's possible that I got a fake Windows 11 PC from a refurbisher on Amazon, but if Windows 11 really was what I tried out, I definitely think there should be an alternative to Windows 11 that doesn't have so much "AI" integration. One of the simplest things I do on my Windows 10 is utilize the drag and drop function between file folders on Windows 10 to copy them between two folders, I do this by opening two instances of the file explorer, it's super nice for file management and for some reason windows 11 felt way more difficult to manage files if I remember correctly. Also, in Windows 10 there was a way to change the view of the programs or files either as icons or as a list. For some reason the file explorer in Windows 10 never remembers my options for each folder and I have to constantly change it. Like, if music files were always displayed as a list with lots of metadata, and pictures were always displayed in file explorer with medium or large icons, everything would be great. The point being, I do a lot of things manually in Windows 10, and the Windows 11 PC I tried felt like it was made for children. Only other problem I have with windows 10 is the PC options screens are needlessly complicated and hide too many setting behind underlined/highlighted text from the windows menu on the bottom left, I actually think Windows 7 had a better P.C. options screen. Basically I think there should be a alternative to Windows 11 that is a bit more "old school" for people who like to do things more manually. I'm 26, I've been using Windows 10 for over 6 years now, I've gotten a lot of creative projects done with Windows 10, Windows 11 does not appeal to me at all. Now I'm in a tough spot because I don't want to use windows 11, yet functionality support is ending for windows 10. Although one time I booted up in safe mode and it said my O.S. was Windows (R), which is weird because I always customize my desktop theme to have a dark background and Red highlights... Am I currently using a Windows 11 alternative called Windows (R)? Ok this has been a tech rant/info barrage.2.3KViews0likes2Comments
