We are migrating 10 users away from our old VoIP provider and onto Teams Phone. Reviewing the call activity from our existing VoIP provider, these 10 lines only appear to use an average of 15 hours of calling total, across all the numbers, per month. 99% of all the calling is domestic (US/North America). Given this, does it make more sense to have each user get a Teams Phone Standard license, and a pool of Communications Credits that the Teams Phone users draw from, versus giving each user a full Teams Phone Plus Calling Plan license?396Views0likes0CommentsHelp needed with Teams Licensing for VoIP and Dynamics CRM integration - Expert opinions welcome!
Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing well. I am new to Microsoft Teams and I am currently trying to configure Teams VoIP for my organization. Our goal is to integrate it with Dynamics CRM for insights. However, we are facing some confusion regarding Teams licensing, and we are not sure which one to go with. As a newbie to MS Teams, I would really appreciate it if any expert in this community could explain the Teams licensing in a short/brief manner. Specifically, I would like to know which license is suitable for Teams VoIP and Dynamics CRM integration. Your expert opinion would be highly valuable to me and my team. Thank you in advance for your help and support.912Views0likes0CommentsUse Teams as VoIP SIP Softphone dialer
Hello, as the subject says, we are wondering whether it is possible to configure Teams to use it as a VoIP SIP softphone dialer. If someone can link me to information about this. I have seen some paid services from other companies when doing a search over internet, but would like to know whether there are options to do it without external companies. The idea is to proportion accounts with this feature to our different clients so their agents can use it. Thank you9.1KViews0likes1CommentMS Teams VoIP call forwarding to non O365 phone numbers
Hi, We need to be able to forward calls to non o365 contacts via the teams client. I can lookup and call contacts but it isn't possible to forward incoming calls to contacts unless I type in their full phone number. Is there a way to get non O365 contacts to show up when searching in the forwarding window? Best regards, Michael829Views1like1CommentTeams Voice - Call Recording
We are using Teams for all our voice calls, using Microsoft direct with no 3rd parties. We have been waiting for call recording to be available and see that this is now available. However, the user has to enable each call to be recorded and it is then stored in their OneDrive. Is it possible to enforce call recording to be enabled and to have these stored centrally for training and review purposes?1.5KViews0likes0CommentsDoes MS Teams android application integrates with Telecom framworks for VOIP calling.
Hi all, I was keen to know if the MS Teams android application integrates with Android telecom framework for handling VOIP and conference calls. Deep integration with Telecom framework helps in handling of VOIP features between multiple applications. My interest being on receiving VOIP call information from MS Teams and android framework layer. (eg. Telegram does deep integration with android Telecom framework) https://developer.android.com/guide/topics/connectivity/telecom1.2KViews0likes2CommentsCan Desktop App trigger a voice call on Mobile App?
Hi Guys I'm very new to Teams so please forgive me if this is a stupid question, but is it possible to use the desktop app to trigger an outbound voice call on another device? Basically, I have a client with a 3rd party VoIP system that will be integrated to Teams. They run Teams on their RDS desktops so would use the mobile app for their voice calling, but it would be good if they wanted to dial from the desktop, to be able to have that call actually take place on the mobile. This is possible via pure VoIP systems running both a desktop and mobile softphone. Many thanks in advance. Tom.Solved1.5KViews1like1CommentTeams VOIP signalling protocol and TCP port numbers?
I understand MS teams is using HTTP/HTTPS TCP port 80/443 for call setup, So If I want to apply QoS how can I capture the specific HTTP/HTTPs traffics for MS-Teams? excluding all the other web browsing traffics. The requirement is only to prioritise MS-Teams voip signalling traffics. Thanks3KViews0likes2CommentsUsing Microsoft Teams to Place a Call
We are using Microsoft Teams as a replacement for Skype for Business. I wanted to start testing the Phone feature. I was already part of Office E5 (i.e. Phone System license). I then added the Domestic Calling Plan Trial to our subscription then under Teams Admin, I requested a phone number and assigned it to myself. I have since gone back to the Teams Client but I still do not have the option to dial a number or see the number pad to use to call as illustrated in online images; nor do I see that it lists my contact number. Am I missing a step? In the trial, I am just using MS as a cloud Phone system. There was a mentioned that these services can take 24 hours to sync which I am pretty close to that time now. Is it possible, that it really takes 24 hours and I just have to wait it out?3.6KViews0likes4Comments
