There is no option to open a file and installer directly when we download files in Microsoft Edge and we have to save the file in order to open the file which is sometimes timeconsuming. So, I am suggesting a feature where there will be the same Chromium downloads UI and there will be the option to open and save the file before downloading and the option to cancel the download will always be there in the ellipsis(three-dotted) menu. If you like this feature and want it to come to Microsoft Edge, then you can also send feedback through the in-built feedback feature(Alt+Shift+I) in Microsoft Edge which will give this suggestion a +1.9.7KViews2likes4CommentsSuggestion: Update the colour of browser elements according to the theme
I was recently checking the themes in Microsoft Edge and loved them but the one downside I found is that the Context, Ellipsis, Downloads, Favourites menus and the Collections panel are in white or black in colour rather than showing the colour of the theme. I would like to suggest adding a feature where these all elements of the browser acquire the colour of the theme making the UI experience more fluid and intuitive for the user. If you like this suggestion, please send feedback about it through the in-app feedback tool (Alt+Shift+I) in Microsoft Edge to gain a +1 for the suggestion to make it a part of Microsoft Edge in the future.609Views1like1CommentUI/UX problem in Edge with RTL languages (Right to Left)
notice anything strange? the place of Edge side bar and vertical tabs is changed when you use a language in Edge that supports Right-to-left. this is very annoying. I want to use a language that supports RTL but I don't want the location of everything in Edge to change. it's not just these 2 elements, everything in Edge UI changes. the location of tabs, the address bar, favorite bar, the menu, everything. there really needs to be an option to keep Edge in Left-to-Right format (LTR) and still use any language we want in Edge, it's a must have. the location of buttons and UI are something that I'm used to, when it becomes RTL, everything goes haywire and I get lost. I'm sending this using feedback button on Edge, if you happen to be using a RTL language or know it, please try it and send a feedback from your browser too. let's get this fixed.3.2KViews0likes0CommentsNew Windows dev channel update includes acrylic. Edge team is ridiculous for saying it's outdated.
https://blogs.windows.com/windows-insider/2020/09/02/announcing-windows-10-insider-preview-build-20206/ made the emoji panel "more aligned with our Fluent Design principles, including a new acrylic background." But the Edge team wants to make barely any effort into changing the design of Chromium Edge from Material design and says that transparency no longer aligns with Fluent design. I don't think I'll ever fully understand the Edge team's thought process regarding anything.2.1KViews4likes4CommentsDifference between homepages of different modes
I have been using three different modes, namely Normal, InPrivate and Guest, it has been a great experience but I have seen differences between the two elements in these modes which I don't think are good. The Differences are as follows: 1. Search Bar The search bar's UI is seen differently in different modes. in the InPrivate mode, there is a nice hover effect of the bar with a blue search button whereas, in the normal mode, there is no hover effect seen with no blue coloured button and in the guest mode, there is no search bar which is not good as some users would have a habit of using search bar instead of the address bar and when they use other's computer in Guest mode, they would be forced to search through the address bar. The differences in the search bar in three different modes are given in the screenshots as follows: 2. Scrollbar The scrollbar in the normal mode is seen thick whereas, the scrollbar in the InPrivate mode is thin which is not good for keeping the UI identical throughout the browser and in the Guest mode, the scrollbar is not there which is correct. The differences in the scrollbar in Normal and InPrivate mode are given in the screenshots as follows:541Views0likes0CommentsBlank space left on the top when Edge window is half-snipped or is in windowed mode in Windows 10
When I half-snip or turn Microsoft Edge into windowed mode, I see that some blank space is there on the top of the titlebar. This sometimes annoys me as when my cursor goes to the top in order to select the tab, the tab does not get selected. please resolve this issue as soon as possible.1.8KViews2likes0CommentsMake Global Media Control buttons bigger | they are too small
I remember they were way bigger before but now they've become too small. and I'm saying that as a mouse/KB users. for someone with touch screens it's even harder to interact with them. the rest of the Edge UI is great and standard size but these are weirdly small.
