Hi, Within our company, we have multiple SharePoint sites over different Office 365 environments. What we are trying to do is when a user clicks on a SharePoint link the user is first logged out of any other SharePoint sites on the different environment and then the credentials are asked for the new SharePoint environment. This works perfectly: When you add https://b3living.sharepoint.com/sites/CeMeslaTest/_layouts/closeConnection.aspx?loginasanotheruser=false&Source=https://b3Living.sharepoint.com/sites/CeMeslaTest/ to the end of the SharePoint URL Added properties https://b3living.sharepoint.com/sites/CeMeslaTest/_layouts/closeConnection.aspx?loginasanotheruser=false&Source=https://b3Living.sharepoint.com/sites/CeMeslaTest/?loginasanotheruser=false &Source=https://company.sharepoint.com/sites/SiteName/ The full URL looks like this: When a user is logged into another SharePoint or Office 365 environment, the user is automatically logged out of that environment and automatically asked for the credentials to log into the new SharePoint site (source URL https://b3living.sharepoint.com/sites/CeMeslaTest/_layouts/closeConnection.aspx?loginasanotheruser=false&Source=https://b3Living.sharepoint.com/sites/CeMeslaTest/) The problem arises when the user is not logged into any other SharePoint or office 365 environment. When the user clicks the link above it says “You’ve signed out of your account” but doesn’t request the credentials for the new SharePoint environment. It just pauses at “You’ve signed out of your account”. I have tried changing the properties from ?loginasanotheruser=false and ?loginasanotheruser=true but it still pauses. Is there any way I can get the procedure to not pause, but redirect the user to the source SP site https://b3living.sharepoint.com/sites/CeMeslaTest/_layouts/closeConnection.aspx?loginasanotheruser=false&Source=https://b3Living.sharepoint.com/sites/CeMeslaTest/ ? Are there other properties I can add to the SharePoint link that doesn’t make it pause? Added properties https://b3living.sharepoint.com/sites/CeMeslaTest/_layouts/closeConnection.aspx?loginasanotheruser=false&Source=https://b3Living.sharepoint.com/sites/CeMeslaTest/?loginasanotheruser=false &Source=https://company.sharepoint.com/sites/SiteName/ I hope you can help Colin1.6KViews0likes1CommentDefaulting a lookup value on a page via URL
I have created a pretty standard page with a lookup list that users can choose the main value and the other lists adjust to show values associated with that choice. Users want to be able to default their choice. There is no list of users aligned with these choices and it is not feasible to create/maintain such a list. Is there a way I can provide users with a URL that automatically defaults a choice to a specific value. For example, if I want to set the default value and displayed items to be Risk Management, I just give them a Risk Management URL that defaults the choice. I don't care if they change their choice after. Screen shots below showing how it works. I don't want to create 80 pages, one for each choice cause you can't share widgets across pages. Updating 80 versions of the links section would be painful. Plus 80 different pages, one for each choice is very maintenance heavy.607Views0likes1CommentPossible to change URL of Document Library link after created?
Once I create a link (.url) in a modern library. Is there any way to modify the URL? Not just delete it and create another one? I do not see a way to do this. I am trying to bypass the URL "preview" which doesn't exist and causes users an extra click to be taken to the page. Hello, So I already have a sharepoint, let's call it Sharepoint A. I'm creating a new sharepoint page, let's call it Sharepoint B. I would be able to replace Sharepoint A by Sharepoint B, keeping the same URL, so that people would not be confused by all the different sharepoints. How can I do that? Thank you in advance, Léa1.1KViews0likes2CommentsOpen links to SharePoint from SharePoint Teams Tab in Edge
I have a really specific scenario: In a Teams Channel I created a SharePoint tab which shows a SharePoint page. On this page I am linking to another page. If I click on this link it gets opened in the same tab in my Teams client. This happens for all SharePoint links -> Works as designed... What I need is a way to set a link on my first page which opens a the second SharePoint page in Edge instead of in the tab in my Teams client. Does someone has an idea how to implement this? The only solution I see so far is to use a webserver which forwards to the SharePoint page. I could link to this webserver and Teams would open it in Edge since it is not a SharePoint link.Solved929Views0likes1CommentRedirect URL from Library to External Site
Trying to understand if it's possible to configure a redirect URL from an existing document library in SharePoint Online to an external site. Basically, if someone navigates to the URL of this specific document library, we want them to be auto-redirected to a different URL that is external to this site collection. I have created a office 365 group and for some reason i have deleted it. After 10 days when I try to create office group with same name, group alias is available but unfortunately site url is not good. For example if I try to create a office group with HR then site url is coming as https://<domain>.sharepoint.com/HR20 or https://<domain>.sharepoint.com/HR2 or https://<domain>.sharepoint.com/HR48 etc. There is no possibility to create HR office group by having url as https://<domain>.sharepoint.com/HR?Solved3.6KViews0likes4Comments
