To Do
5 Topics"Insufficient privileges to complete the operation" when listing Planner tasks from Project
Hi, it's only my time posting here, please let me know if I should be doing something differently! I've searched throughout the internet and couldn't find a solution for this. I've got a user running into a problem where the `/me/planner/tasks`, `/planner/buckets/{bucketId}/tasks`, and `/planner/plans/{planId}/tasks` endpoints return a `Authorization_RequestDenied` error. Here's an example response: { "code": "Authorization_RequestDenied", "message": "Insufficient privileges to complete the operation.", "innerError": { "date": "2025-07-23T08:15:50", "request-id": "bd5f7056-a41d-439c-a0d7-d768cd82d1ea", "client-request-id": "362f376c-863e-0616-86f7-22c7c07c1352" } } While this happens for almost all of their groups and plans, it doesn't happen for one. The main difference between that which works and the other ones which don't is that all the ones that don't work were created in Microsoft Project (Platinum, I think?). The one that does was created in Planner. We can, however, list the proper plans and buckets, just not fetch the tasks. Is there any way around this? Is there some kind of special scope I should be asking for so the API calls work? Should I use the To Do API in some special way for this, instead? Thank you so much!67Views0likes0CommentsIs planner my best option for this request
Looking for opinions on best way to handle a project request. My user wants a task management system that will bubble up tasks in To Do, Planner or other pars of M365 ecosystem. They want the ability to plug in one task (Project Date) and date and have other task automatically generated before and after that date. These projects need to be easily replicated with the same tasks but different dates based on each project. My initial thought was to manually create a planner plan, build out dependencies for each task based on project date. They could then copy the plan and adjust the project date, but that seems overly complicated? -3 weeks Task 1 -3 weeks Task 2 -3 weeks Task 3 -2 weeks Task 4 -2 weeks Task 5 -4 days Task 6 -3 days Task 7 4/15/2025 Project Date +1 day Task 8 +1 day Task 9 +1 day Task 10 +2 days Task 11 +3 days Task 12178Views0likes2CommentsTask from Planner to outlook
I use Microsoft Planner for project management and it synchronises tasks with Microsoft To Do. However, I cannot drag tasks from the Planner (via To Do) into your Outlook calendar or calendar view. The Planner tasks do not appear in the right-hand section for dragging them into your calendar. Thank you for your help128Views2likes0Commentsissue with comments - the group isn't set up to receive messages
There is an issue for all of our M365 users with using Tasks by Planner and To Do in Teams. We use M365 with Exchange Online and Teams licenses. We create tasks in Teams. Each task has a comment box where text can be entered. When a comment is created, the user receives an e-mail with the error message: the group isn't set up to receive messages from user's email address It looks like an authorization problem, because comments fail for each user, even the creator of the task. On the other hand the app Planner shows a hint that a new user interface for Planner will be available shortly. Any help is appreciated.2.4KViews0likes6CommentsOne same task between 3 teams
A colleague and I work in 3 teams simultaneously (we are interns). And we would like to separate our activities into a different planner, however, pulling the tasks from the other planners, in a way that changes to the task are reflected in both teams. Is there any way to do this?812Views0likes0Comments
