Guidance Needed on Microsoft 365 Subscription for Teams App Development
I am currently developing an app for Teams and have set up accounts in the Azure portal, joined the developer program, and accessed the Teams developer portal. However, when attempting to log in to the Teams admin center, an error occurs: Internal calls to PLS Service have failed. We can't find the tenant region for tenantId. Please try again later to jointhe developer program, the message indicated: `Thank you for joining. You don't currently qualify for a Microsoft 365 Developer Program sandbox subscription.`. Research revealed that Microsoft discontinued the free subscription. A subscription is needed to access the Microsoft Teams admin center and for Teams app development. I can see various Microsoft 365 plans for businesses like Basic and Standard, as well as licenses available in the Microsoft 365 admin center. I am considering the Microsoft Teams Essentials license. However, there is confusion regarding whether to buy a subscription or a specific license, especially since active users in the 365 admin center are showing as unlicensed. Could anyone advise on which plan or license is necessary for Teams app development?
New Teams Crash After Sharing Screen
Only 1 user on a Surface Pro that recently has a Teams crash after sharing the screen. It shuts down the application and boots them from the meeting. Teams version24193.1805.3040.8975. The laptop was imaged and it is still occurring. Working with Microsoft Support and they haven't been able to help. Device crashes with no other equipment plugged in. Any help is appreciated.
Identifying Inactive Teams
Hello, I am trying to identify inactive Teams, I work for a reasonably sized company so we have hundreds of Teams setup. I have tried running a Usage Report but that only shows Teams that have had activity within the last 7, 28 or 90 days, if a Team has had no activity for over 90 days it does not seem to appear within the report. So far the only way in which I have come up with identifying these inactive Teams is to compare the Usage report with the list of Teams manually which is less than ideal. Are there any alternatives that I am missing? I have read about running some kind of Powershell script but I am not that familiar with using Powershell. Thanks for any suggestions.
Where's my display name?!
Hey everyone, I just set up my entire team with an Outlook account. Each person has their own display name (First, Last) and other personal information attached via the 'Identity' tab in the admin center. My issue is that when a team member sends an email it arrives the in the recipients inbox as 'email address removed for privacy reasons' instead of the display name of 'Joe Montana.' How and what do I change to ensure the recipient of the email sees the name of the sender rather than their whole email address. It's affecting our deliverability because it looks spammy. Hello, From the Microsoft Teams Admin Center > Voice > Phone Numbers > Numbers page you're able to have it a field named Additional Information as one of the optionally displayed fields, but I can't figure out how to enter text into this field. When I select a number, then select the Edit button it doesn't display a control to edit that field. I've looked through powershell phone number commands, and I didn't see anything in there that would modify this field. Any advice is appreciated!
Admin Teams Attendance Reporting
A manager contacted IT and needs a Teams' attendance report for those that report to her. Basically needs to know if scheduled meetings are happening on time and if those who are invited are showing up. If I go to Manage User and find the users, I see "Past Meetings" which lists the meetings and participants. If I click the meeting ID, the data the manager asked for is there. Unfortunately, there is no way to properly export this to provide the data the manager requested as the individual meetings only show that particular meeting. For "Past Meetings", there is no way to export. Is there a way to export this data?
Missing room calendar in the MTR-System
Hello everyone. I do not see a room calendar in the MTR system. When a new meeting is created, the room can be invited via the resource address, shortly after the invitation the user receives a confirmation email that the room is free. But on the MTR the scheduled meeting is not visible. How can I solve this problem?
Take over admin
Hello, does anyone have any ideas? The admin is no longer with the company and was the only Global Administrator. The password is not known. Now, no one has access to the admin portal. Access to external DNS management is possible. Shadow takeover was not possible. Do you have any ideas? Microsoft Support Hotline was not able to help me.MS Teams External Federation
Hi, Inhttps://admin.teams.microsoft.com/company-wide-settings/external-communications,it can allow only specific domains to communicate externally. If I want to be able to communicate with a company that has domain company.com and us.company.com, do I have to add both? From my tests, it seems adding company.com will not allow lookups of users with us.company.com. Thanks.
