When changing a specific user to "Teams Only" mode from the Teams Admin Center there is that field/setting that says: "Migrate this user's meetings to Teams". What should be the expected result from having this ON?. Will all this user's Skype meetings be migrated to Teams meetings?. I am asking because we are piloting the Teams Only mode with a few users and their Skype meetings are "intact" after the change meaning that meetings did not get migrated or changed to Teams at all so I just want to confirm that I am looking at a realistic expectation or if this setting means something else. What does this setting mean? Thanks Cristina GomesTeams User Keeps Getting "Continue Your Conversation Here" Link in Existing Conversations
Hi, This user has been using teams for months, this issue arose on Tuesday. All was working fine before. Now any time they have a conversation with an external user who is still using skype (their org is still transitioning to teams) they get a message at the bottom of their conversation that says "Due to Org Policy Changes, some chat and calling features are no longer available. Continue your conversation here" When they click that link it opens another chat window entirely like they're having their first conversation ever. This happens with any user who is external, and it used to work perfectly in the past. This problem replicates to the web app version of teams as well. We already re-installed teams standalone app to the desktop and that did not rectify the issue. The user is using a teams exploratory license as well and I removed it and that didnt fix the issue either. I attached photos of the error message and how you can see the same person's conversation pops up in another chat window entirely. Please advise.Migration from Skype On-Prem to Teams - users stuck in HybridOnlineSfBUserNeedsProvisioning status
We've migrated the majority of our users from Skype On-Prem to Teams but users that have been migrated since last wednesday (9/23) are all stuck in the HybridOnlineSfBUserNeedsProvisioning status. Normally users are in this status for around 10-20 minutes but quickly change to HybridOnlineSfBUser with full functionality. It seems like the provisioning on the microsoft side isn't running or being triggered for some reason but I can't find any reason for this. Hi all, We are planning to move to Teams Only setting soon (currently on Islands mode. Skype and Teams available for everyone. We have a mix of Skype and Teams users). We have decided to switch all users at once based on Pilot feedback. Since the change will be for everyone, we want to just use the org wide tenant setting in the Teams Admin Center to switch everyone at once so I have a couple of questions about this approach: We have approximately 2000 user accounts. How long will it take for the switch to happen approximately?. Anyone have any past experiences? Will the Skype meetings already schedules be migrated automatically by the backend migration process?. I know this happens when switching individual user accounts when that setting checkbox is marked but I don't know if the migration process will also be triggered by changing the org wide setting. Thank you in advance for your feedback!
Can not update OnPremLineURI as the user has dirsynced onpremise LineURI. Saben como superar este inconveniente? Gracias.Establishing Hybrid with a Teams Only Tenant
It seems new O365 tenants are already in Teams Only mode and do not allow switching to another coexistence mode. How does an organization with a Skype for Business Server on-premises environment establish hybrid and take advantage of other coexistence modes? Microsoft's documentation still outlines that this should be possible but it seems like a technical impossibility at this point.Search for people by departement in Teams
Hi there, First of all, great initiative with a dedicated space for the transition from SfB to Teams. One question I have from my colleagues that I haven't been able to answer so far is, if it is possible to search for people in Teams by only knowing their department name. It is possible today on SfB... Judging from this uservoice it seems it is not possible: https://microsoftteams.uservoice.com/forums/555103-public/suggestions/35077552-add-location-ad-to-search-capability Anyone have any comments/suggestions/insights on this? Thanks in advance. All the best JesperTeams Voice with WDV no audio selection
I am running a pilot WVD in anticipation of migrating away from VMware Horizon View virtual desktops and at the same time migrating from Skype-for-Buisness to Teams Voice. Microsoft and VMware had provided the capability in Horizon View to pass though the audio devices to the VD so users could select the appropriate headset, speakers etc. that S4B could chose from in the VD instance. Additionally, this gave the S4B user the option to select a secondary speaker for ringing so they were able to hear an incoming call when not wearing their headset. This option is not presented in the Teams Device settings when running in WVD. I understand that the virtual instance running teams is only able to see the "default" audio from the host but this makes it nearly impossible to use Teams voice in WVD since the likelihood of missing calls is significant. Is there any work on if this is being addressed similarly to the Micorsoft/VMware solution provided for S4B/View users? What it takes to setup Microsoft Teams Rooms over existing CISCO Rooms setup?
Helo, Can you please share, how to use Microsoft Teams rooms over existing CISCO setup in rooms? Is it possible? If yes, what it takes to setup? Does it require extra device? config setup ? does it has to be replaced existing CISCO setup with Microsoft Teams certified devices? Can you please clarify? Thanks,
