Hello! So, I've been using Chrome for like 10 years, and now I've heard about Edge from a friend, and I wanted to switch browsers. But all my passwords, bookmarks and history stuff are synced with my google account. I also have an android phone, which came with Chrome and Google apps, and I like the fact that Google from desktop brings me all the passwords and others on my phone. The question is if I can sync all Edge things in my google account, to keep them present everywhere. It is pretty hard to me to break up with all the google services, since I'm using Gmail, Google Drive, Youtube and others, and bing gives me poor searching results in romanian, comparing to google. Sorry if the whole thing sounded like an ad for google, but I'm wondering if I can sync edge with a google account. Now you can Set your Tabs Aside Quickly and reopen them later. these tab groups Can get Synced with other devices that have Edge browser installed (Only desktops for now) so you can also resume your work from another computer. The tab groups that are set Aside are non-volatile, meaning they are not automatically deleted once you reopen them (unlike Edge legacy's behavior) you can give custom names to the tab groups you set Aside. Using Version 81.0.381.0 (Official build) dev (64-bit) When I setup sync on my work Network, the sync just stays on "Setting up Sync". However, when I go off company WI-FI and onto cellular, the sync works fine and the status changes to "Sync is on". Its more than likely a problem with the company firewall. The IT admin always asks which port/url they need to open. What needs to be opened for Edge Sync to work properly? I want to suggest to sync passwords saved in Edge with Windows credential manager in order for them to be accessible to all other apps and programs in Windows and also operate as a system wide password manager. Windows credential manager stores passwords from Internet explorer and legacy Edge but not the new Edge browser, the link is broken and the two components don't talk to each other anymore. the problem at the moment is that some passwords are stored in my Edge browser password manager, some others are stored in Windows credential manager by other apps, If i want to change password of a website, I have to manually update it in both places. also the apps i use on Windows 10 only talk to Windows credential manager and they don't use Edge password manager, so this creates the need to save password in 2 places and duplicate them. Since updating to Microsoft Edge Version 81.0.416.53 for macOS, my Office 365 account has been permanently logged out of the browser. When I sign in, I receive a message prompt that reads: "A server error occurred. [2600]" Hoping there is a fix underway. This is a duplicate of my answers post here. Hello fellow nuEdgers, I'm hoping someone is able to help. New Edge Chromium Won't Even Try To Sync When Edge Chromium (Dev) has open, I click the 'Profile' symbol, and then click 'Sign In' I am immediately presented with the error: We can't sign you in at the moment The Microsoft Edge team has been notified of this issue. Please try again later. Error code: 5, 2, 0 Microsoft Privacy Statement [[OK Button]] Neither Startpage or Google find anything on purely that error code alone (I think Startpage is a layer on Google). Standard build of Edge ( on the first start sign in run through ) gives the same error but with the code: Error code: 0 I am assuming that when there are commas this then means that these are separate errors that are all occurring. I have looked at this potential fix, which I don't think is directly related: Cannot sign-in to Edge with Microsoft Account However there's no description of what this change does to my system, so I'd like to know what that would be ( especially as it's got Admin related stuff in it ) before going on with the fix. I suspect that this is just something with the latest couple of DEV versions ( I've updated edge). Microsoft Edge Canary is the newest Edge app on mobile. here is the app on Google play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.microsoft.emmx.canary The Chromium version is up to date, latest version, same as on Edge desktop. the UI has some different design elements. settings page is also different. sync is fully enabled and working. hello community, i have a problem with microsoft edge sync. with exxxa@fxxxs.com the edge sync works under mac. Edge sync does not work on mac with cxxxh@fxxxs.com. it's the same mac. both users have the same license: microsoft 365 business premium. Azure Information Protection (AIP) + Azure AD Enterprise State Roaming (ESR) are enabled. I also performed Enable-AipService via powershell and checked it with Get-AipService. I also checked Get-AipServiceOnboardingControlPolicy + found no problems. I looked through https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/deployedge/microsoft-edge-troubleshoot-enterprise-sync. restarting and setting up the edge, including a new profile, were unsuccessful. on iOS + windows 10 it is also not possible to sync with cxxxh@fxxxs.com + edge.
