Wanted to ask if its possible on O365 to hide users from Skype for Business Online on the resources that appear in address book / GAL search. Why would I want to hide users? Perhaps you have members of the organisation that you don’t want contacted by everybody else. Say if you have a strict communications policy that the CEO shouldn’t be directly contactable, you could hide them from appearing in the address book. Let me know as currently in OnPrem you can but havent found articles about S4B OnlineSolved15KViews1like11CommentsUpdate SIP Address - Lync Server 2013 - SFB Online Hybrid
How can we update the SIP address for users in a Lync Server 2013 / Skype for Business hybrid scenario? When I go to the Lync Server 2013 control panel and look up the user, I cannot edit the SIP Address. What is the supported method for updating the SIP address? PowerShell? ADSI edit? If so, which field or fields need to be updated?8.7KViews0likes3CommentsCalling Plans and Direct Routing in the Same Office 365 Tenancy
Hi everyone, I've had a good search of other posts and can't find anything so putting up a new conversation. We're working with a customer who has offices in Europe. They run Office 365 E5 with Skype for Business and Calling Plans. Everything works great there. They also have a number of offices in APAC where they currently run legacy PBXs. We've got a SIP partner in APAC that can offer SIP trunks with numbers in the relevant countries. We plan on terminating these onto an SBC then configuring Direct Routing for Teams. This would all be within the same Office 365 tenancy. My question is, can you use Calling Plans and Direct Routing within the same Office 365 tenancy in this way? Thanks in advance, PeteSolved6.3KViews0likes2CommentsSkype for Business online Call queue issue - Busy on Busy

Hi, I am planning a migration from my current domain to a new one where the users will be migrated from the current domain then synchronized withe Azure AD Connect. I have an existing Skype for Business Server 2015 on-premises and an Office 365 tenant with some test users that I migrated and applied E3 licences. The goal is to retrieve users SfB contacts once they start using Skype for Business online (O365), if possible avoiding having to add them manually one by one. Is there a way to "export a csv" of one's contactsl list then import it to another account on Skype for Business online ? PS: This is not an hybrid deployment.Solved2.6KViews0likes2CommentsCall Quality Dashboard showing internal Microsoft EndPoint and IP Addresses
I am trying to use the Call Quality Dashboard to identify locations and users with poor quality. I create a new detailed report with First and Second Address, Subnet, and Endpoint. Over half of the traffic is not my network. Based on a call with Microsoft Office 365 support, it is internal Microsoft machines and IP addresses. Is this to be expected? It seems like Microsoft servers should be passing through the actual machines names and IP addresses of users so we can identify users and locations with poor Skype quality.2.2KViews0likes4CommentsSkype For Business On-premise Hybrid with existing sub-domain in O365
Hello, We have a sip-domain "contoso.com" on-premise and our students have "students.contoso.com" sip-domain located in SfB Online only. Just tried to setup Skype For Business On-premise 2015 to a hybrid with Office365. Everything worked except federation/presence status from cloud domain (students.contoso.com) to on-premise domain. After I ran a debug I encountered this error: "ms-diagnostics: 1017; reason="Cannot route From and To domains in this combination"; summary="Domain type analysis indicates that the ms-split-domain-info header in the message is the wrong type”" Which pointed me to the MS article here: https://eur03.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.microsoft.com%2Fen-us%2Fskypeforbusiness%2Ftroubleshoot%2Fhybrid-im-presence%2Fsfb-online-users-cant-im&data=02%7C01%7Clarsta%40trondelagfylke.no%7C51368faff89e461fc73b08d8081518b5%7Cb6334d0113b94531a3a6532e479d9a1a%7C0%7C0%7C637268233981698460&sdata=wQQRz9V8mHQFpEr%2FykQ3vKn59nd284zhN0ccU5ofUfw%3D&reserved=0 So my question to you guys, to get this working from what I understand I need to take "students.contoso.com" in public facing certificates on my on-premise edge and I also need to point federation DNS records to this domain on-premise. But what about other DNS records? Should this domain be a part of my topology? How much work do I need to do internal with simple urls, dns, certificates and so on. All our users in this domain will still contain Online. I struggled to find this scenario exactly online. Any answers would be much appreciated.Solved1.2KViews1like2Comments
