I am attempting to migrate SharePoint 2013 pages to SharePoint Online and include all content and web parts on those pages. I haven't been able to complete this with a copy using File Explorer, using SharePoint Designer, or using the SharePoint Migration tool. Is there something I'm missing on moving web part pages from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online? Is it even possible or am I going to have to create pages manually.Solved12KViews0likes8CommentsShouldn't the site owner have the ability to approve SPO content?
In this situation, the owner of the company who has Full Control of the site has posted a new page in SharePoint. The approval notification came to me in Teams and did not go to him. He claims that after selecting "Review Approvals" on the top right of the page that there was nothing there. I thought site owners / users with Full Control permissions should have the ability to approve everything in SPO. Is there a specific section somewhere to see who has approval permissions?1.3KViews0likes3CommentsUnable to display Playlist view on SharePoint Site Page
I have created a Playlist using the list template and saved it to a SharePoint site. I have uploaded my videos. I now want to create a page that has the Playlist view along with other things like text, buttons and pictures. Unfortunately, when I pick the list webpart and select my Playlist list, the Playlist view just shows as if it is open in grid view and does NOT display in the great way that the Playlist displays in the list. Am I doing something wrong? Is this just a miss by Microsoft and someone is working on a fix? Inquiring minds want to know.1.2KViews0likes1CommentSharePoint Modern Pages missing features
The SharePoint admin at our company has recently created a hybrid on-prem site. After the site was created I did a migration using ShareGate where an infopath form migrated as well as 3 designer workflows. They want to continue using these for now before upgrading to PowerApps and Automate. My problem: I went to create a modern site page however a LOT is missing. For example, when updating a banner, quick links or any other image, I do not have all of the normal options. I only have "Recent", "Site", "Upload" and "From a link". I do NOT have "Stock Images" and "OneDrive". Also, I do not have the option to do collapsible sections when creating the site pages. I have tried to do a lot of research but have not found anything. I am wondering if the administrator created the site wrong or if it is a feature I need to activate, but I could not find anything. Please let me know if you need more information. Thank you!901Views0likes0CommentsSite Pages showing as Page Template - Cannot publish major version
Does anyone know the fix for this weird bug. A bunch of our site pages in Modern SharePoint started showing "This is a page template saved on your site.Learn more." green bar at the top of the site page even though they are not templates, they cannot be found in the templates folder and be used as a template. It just started a recently. All of these pages didn't have that issue before and it affects multiple other site collections. We have no idea how to fix it and Microsoft Premium support has been unhelpful so far. We didn't change any configuration, when creating a new page it creates it correctly, It seems to only affect existing pages (even from 2 years ago) . This is an issue because we can't publish a major version because it only lets us save it as a template. (ie. just as minor versions).1.1KViews0likes0CommentsHow to create a list of site page entries AND document library entries (via Power Automate)
Hey, i am trying to create a sharepoint list that includes both, the entries of the site pages list and the entries of the document library. I'm currently trying to add the entries via power automate. For some reason i can't pick the site pages list in power automate. Using /pages works well, but if i do so, i can't access and can't use the site properties. Is there any solution for this? When adding links to the quick links web part, you used to be able to select Site...Site Pages. This option is now missing making it really difficult to add multiple links to pages. It has gone on both production and separate Dev tenants. Anyone else affected?3.4KViews1like7CommentsSharePoint Online - Home page menu vs page menu
Hello guys I am just asking myself why the hell the menu on the home page is not the same as the same page that is not the home page of the site. Home Page Not home page The question is really simple and I suppose there is a hidden field that contains something specific. For example the home page of your modern team site will display the menu on the left in the table. If you go to the site pages library and copy this home page to a folder of the site pages library... then the home page (sitepages/home.aspx) AND the copied page (sitepages/folder/home.aspx), both will display the menu of the left in the table. If you edit the copied page, do nothing and publish it... then the page will display the menu of the right in the table. If you go to the SitePages/folder/ and make the home.aspx page there as homepage... then page SitePages/home.aspx will display the menu of the right, the the new home page (SitePages/folder/home.aspx) will display the menu of the left. So there is a way to have the same menu on different page if you copy the home page somewhere else and if you do not edit this page. Until you edit one of those copied pages, then you will have the left menu. As SharePoint online modern sites does not support MUI right now. I have to create multiple page (with the help of the language module from PnP community). But the only things is that the different pages will not have the same content in the new menu. Any way to have the same menu in different pages ? Thank you 🙂 for your help1.8KViews0likes0CommentsDate not setting on a Site Page content type
I had added a date field to a Site Page content type to do something with in search queries. I have just noticed, since last week, that when setting the field from Page Details when editing a page, it is not saving the date field anymore. I was able to set the date field after publishing the page and going to Site Pages to edit the details. However, when editing a page directly and click on Page Details it is not saving the field. Anyone else have this issue?820Views0likes0CommentsPublishing pages in Pages Library to a modern page
So I'm migration from SharePoint 2013 to SharePoint Online. I've migrated my Pages library to SharePoint Online just fine and can see my content. However, I want to upgrade these to the Modern styling. I've seen how to upgrade Classic Pages to Modern Pages using PnP PowerShell, but there is a requirement there that the page is in Site Pages. Does anyone know of either 1. Upgrade classic publishing pages in Pages Library to a modern page or... 2. Move a classic publishing page in Pages Library to Site Pages to then upgrade to the modern pages with the PnP PowerShell command. I've tried to do a copy/move from within SharePoint Online but Site Pages is not an option to move to. I haven't tried to do a copy/move using PowerShell yet, but I'm not hopeful. Any guidance, links, or anything would be helpful. I don't want to have to recreate all these pages into a modern page. That would take months.Solved4.1KViews0likes3Comments
