Date not setting on a Site Page content type

I had added a date field to a Site Page content type to do something with in search queries. I have just noticed, since last week, that when setting the field from Page Details when editing a page, it is not saving the date field anymore. I was able to set the date field after publishing the page and going to Site Pages to edit the details. However, when editing a page directly and click on Page Details it is not saving the field. Anyone else have this issue?
