Notify When Available Comes to Teams 2.1
Without any fuss or bother, Microsoft announced that the Teams 2.1 client has regained the Notify When Available feature. This functionality allows users to subscribe to the presence status for someone else to receive notifications when that person’s presence status changes to Available. Presence display in Outlook when using Teams and Skype/Lync
Hi everyone, I am currently solving the following issue: - our customer has Skype for Business on-premise (Lync Server) and Exchange on-premise - newly, they started to use MS Teams (identities sync to Azure AD) I have information that the presence in Outlook (when composing an email for example) is displayed based on MS Teams status which is not what we want as not everyone in the company uses MS Teams. Is there any way how to point the presence to be based on Skype instead of Teams? Thank you very much in advance! Anna
Custom Presence or Callback method for Presence
Hi everyone, I'm trying to build an app where I could listen for a change when the presence of current user is changed. For instance, when user switch from available to busy, do not disturb, be right back or appear away. I can't find a method in microsoft/teams-js sdk. Is there a way to do it? Also, I'm not sure if it is possible but is there a way where we could add a custom Presence separate from default Presence (available, busy, do not disturb, be right back and appear away)? then I can also add callback for this presence changed. Hi, We are running SFB Online and interested to know if it is possible to change the presence status for federated users? For an example, users within my organization will see my current status, while for external organization users, I might want to set Busy, Away, Offline and so on for privacy reasons. Thanks.
Skype presence not working in SPO with Chrome/Edge
On the subject this nice feature that you could use Skype via browser in O365 SPO is not working anymore with Chrome or Edge. Only working browser is IE11 so is there a fix for other browsers or some policy restriction in Chrome that prohibits this function?
