Hi, I've recently deployed the preview of Microsoft Places to a select few at our company and I love the easy overview which is exactly in line with what we need as we have about 50/50 split between "in office" and employees working remotely. The only thing we're really missing is the possibility to expand the work location overview to also include the users custom status messages. Seeing as that option is not available in the preview I'm just wondering if there's a plan to include it once it's officially released. I've tried for way too many hours to figure out if there's any way of fetching all the users work location directly from Teams to the Graph API but to no avail. The only thing I've got working is to "SET" my own location but that doesn't help. The status message itself is no problem extracting and showing it in a Power App. Worst case scenario I simply have to build my own work location solution and for the users to "check in" in the Power App itself but I'd rather just use the integrated tools. Attached pic to give an idea of what it looks like in it's default state with the "kontor/office" location. Thanks in advance,656Views1like2CommentsMicrosoft Places Upload Errors
I am configuring the public preview of Microsoft Places with a client and when we tried to upload the IMDF files after uploading the building/floors CSV, the following error message appeared in the shell: "Import not supported for file fixtures.geojson" We removed that file from the IMDF zip file and tried again but a different error appeared: "No levels were found correlated to directory floors for the building" When the CSV file with building and floor data was uploaded before the configuration step, I didn't add any SMTP address values in that column because they don't exist yet. When the import script finished, a few errors appeared stating that an identity wasn't found. Maybe that's part of the issue? I'm not sure what I'm missing. Anyone else made it through this step yet in the public preview?Solved471Views0likes4CommentsHow to Remove Generic 'Office' Location in Microsoft Places for Accurate Building Selection?
After adding custom buildings in Microsoft Places for users to choose from as their hybrid work location in Outlook, is there a way to hide or remove the generic "Office" location? Currently, users tend to select "Office" (Kontor in Swedish) instead of the specific building, which causes confusion.457Views0likes1CommentAnother Microsoft Places Upload Error
After setting up Microsoft places I have a part (one floor) of our building made in imdf format to upload to microsoft places, I made the correlation file PS C:\Windows\System32> Import-MapCorrelations -MapFilePath "c:\temp\imdf_map.zip" -CorrelationsFilePath "c:\temp\mapfeatures.csv" INFO: Correlations file c:\temp\mapfeatures.csv was provided. Adding the Places Directory Ids to the map data according to the correlations file... INFO: No custom output file name provided, will write to imdf_correlated.zip. INFO: Updated 3 features in the map files. SUCCESS: correlated IMDF zip package created and ready to import into Places! Looks like the correct correlations where made, but after creating the map I get the following error: PS C:\Windows\System32> new-map -BuildingId xxxxxxxxxx-xxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxx -FilePath "C:\temp\IMDF_correlated.zip" New-Map: Status(StatusCode="Internal", Detail="ErrorInvalidOrgPartition") Can't find any error details on this error, what I am doing wrong... Anybody suggestions?Solved219Views0likes1CommentIs MS Places available on Outlook Mac?
Hi there, one of our Mac Users has a problem adding MS Places on the left app bar in Outlook. However, in the MS Teams App he can add it just fine. What could the issue be? MS Places is seemingly still in PRE Phase, is it even currently available for Outlook on Mac? Thanks in advance!119Views0likes2Comments
