Partners haven't been able to access the Security and Compliance center on behalf of their clients for almost 18 months now. Last we heard on this was fromScott Landryback in July of 2019, but it's been silence since then. Is anyone on the Security and Compliance team working with the Microsoft Partner Center team on this?? This is the one item that's keeping us from being able to exclusively work from ourDelegated Admin accounts. Partner mandating DAP / GDAP for procuring licenses
Hi All, We are in the process of procuring licenses from our local partner. The partner had requested DAP (Global Administrator and Helpdesk Administrator). We did not agree to to it. Then, the partner is mandating GDAP instead of DAP and says that they will not be able to provide licenses without authorizing GDAP permissions. We are only trying to buy Windows Professional Upgrade linceses (Product ID: DG7GMGF0D8H4). Even for this, GDAP is being mandated. Also, the authorization is for partner and his reseller as well. So much exposure is really concerning. Reached out to Microsoft Sales representative via chat and he confirmed that GDAP authorization is mandatory. But, as per Microsoft documentation, GDAP is not mandatory. The documentation is contradicting the sales representative. However, I believe this is only available for people signed up for theMicrosoft Cloud Financial Services Compliance Program (FSCP). Nobody at Microsoft seems to know anything about this program. Security of Extension and Software from GitHub to Store
Hello i want a discuss a thing. I actually have a very Hight level of security rules applied on my network/computer (Hardware and software), but it seem there is a hole in the transparency we can have a software engineer. For instance, i have in my security policy explained how my hardware and software security during development and test of my extension are done and with whom software. But the hole rely in the upload to the Microsoft Store of the code stored on GitHub, i want to know if actually or later is possible to deploy as an update to the partner center (where we upload these extension/software to Microsoft store) directly without having to pass by a zip on the computer, (and add a flags on the store page (or GitHub page) that is done). I ask this to totally eliminate the reliance on trust that the developer has really uploaded the same version on the Store (minus the signature of file added by Microsoft) that the one on GitHub. I actually know that some user/dev will not like that (like any security update (see windows 11 tpm enforcement to understand), but transparency and security is now something very important. Hope to see constructive answer on how i can achieve that even if GitHub / Store don't propose it.
