PSTN Calling

Microsoft just released Teams PSTN Conferencing service right before Microsoft Ignite. First of all, ensure that you assigned PSTN conferencing license(s) to user(s) Login to Teams Meetings > Schedule a Meeting 4. Setup a new meeting, add attendees as follow. For now, you cannot invite external users as attendees in Teams yet like you can in SFB Meeting Invite, I believe you can do that in soon future. So, if you need to invite external users, just copy the invite message and email them. Attendees received meeting invitation email as follow, Meetings > click on meeting invite and Join button. I invited two users, one user is my internal user who received the invite email, I manually copy the invitation email and send to the other user, who will join the meeting using his mobile/phone; both joined the meeting, you will see a user is using his mobile number to join and while my internal users use teams client to join. The external user called +6531570124 (Toll) number to join the PSTN conferencing. It's surprising to take note that I cannot join Teams meeting using my SFB client though I can see the invite in my SFB client's meeting calendar, when I click the meeting link, it brings me to either use web browser or use Teams client. It’s also noted that I cannot invite external users and dial telephone number -- yet.106KViews2likes2CommentsCloud PBX - Auto Attendant - Transfer to External number
Hey There! In the process of deploying a proof of concept for auto-attendant at my org. Wanted to know if there is away to have a menu option transfer a call to an external number. My use case... Caller dials into main Auto-attendant "... press 1 for sales, press 2 for customer service...", when the user presses "2" i would like the autoattendant to direct the call for customer service to an external PSTN number, one that handles our call center. IS this possible, will it be possible, any workarounds? Thanks in advance for your input.Solved15KViews5likes25CommentsChange Cloud PBX User Number to Service Number

A question I often receive is how to setup Skype for Business extension dialing in Office 365. I published a blog article that provides a walk through of this process. Please take a look to provide feedback and/or ask additional questions! https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/cloudready/2017/08/01/skype-for-business-online-extension-dialing/13KViews0likes9CommentsUnable to record audio in Skype Meeting.
We're testing out the office 365 "Audio Conferencing" Skype license. I've assigned one to myself and am able to generate Skype Meeting in outlook. When I start a meeting and tell it to call me for audio (instead of using the PC for audio) i'm unable to record the audio. When I hit record, the message displays "Audio won't be recorded as it's not enabled on this device". When I playback the recording, anything I shared from my desktop shows fine, just no audio. If I tell it to use my PC for audio, recording works fine. Playback has all audio fine.12KViews0likes7CommentsPSTN calls drop with-in 15 - 30 mins with Audiocodes SBC
Hi Community, Recently, I have come across a scenario worth sharing. PSTN calls drops after 15 mins or 30 mins with Audio Codes SBC or Gateway. This can be related or occur due to numerous reason, however if everything is in place (Network to Configuration) and still the call fails, then you can try the below and if it makes the difference. User makes PSTN call > the flow and connectivity is established > after 15 or 30 mins you see BYE message generated resulting in call drop. changing/modifying the "RTCPActiveCalls" and "EnableSessionTimer" may help or simple does't make any difference. Upon isolation, found that issue is mostly triggered due to a setting in Audio Codes S.B.C "Reset SRTP Upon Re-Key" is enabled (usually disabled by default) By going in to the IP profiles > disabling the setting in AudioCodes the issue was resolved and calls no longer were dropped. P.S - This solution may or may not help you (no harm in trying), But its best recommended to contact support and take assistance if needed 🙂11KViews0likes3CommentsPolycom VVX 411 Signing out Users at Random
Hello, We are about to roll out Polycom VVX411 phones using SfB but in our testing users are getting logged out seemingly randomly between 7-30 days. They do get an error "Exchange authentication failed. Sign out and sign in again." on their Polycom phones about 1-2 hours before the phone actually logs them out. We are running Polycom UC Software version5.9.3.2857 We have MFA enabled for our end users also. We are using SfB and Exchange online, nothing on-prem. Has anyone seen or fixed this issue in their environment? Thanks!9.1KViews0likes15CommentsCall Queue Answer Delays
It takes anywhere from 3-5 seconds when answering a call from a Call Queue to be able to speak, is there anything being done to shorten this time? In testing we have seen that Polycom handsets take the longest, and USB headsets are usually the shortest, but it is still a significant amount of time.8.4KViews2likes9Comments
