OneDrive for Business

Hello...I have a user using OWA (University - Microsoft 365 A5 license) who is experiencing a new scenario/error msg., when initiating the "upload and share" option to share a locally stored file as an email attachment (gets uploaded by default to their OneDrive Attachments folder) when sending OWA email messages to colleagues. The email will send with the attachment icon/link, but recipients don't have access to it and have to choose the "request access" option, where then the user/sender can approve the request for access. The error msg., is "you don't have permission to give others access to file X" and the filename that is uploaded has red text (normally it is blue). The users has tested this scenario on multiple computers w/ multiple browsers, and changed the upload OneDrive folder location, with the same result. I can initiate the same scenario on the same computers, browsers, and files, while signed onto my OWA account w/ out issue. The user's Mailbox has a small quota size and their OneDrive account does as well. This started about two weeks ago, though as far as I know, no University Enterprise changes were made to the users account. Not sure what to look at for a solution so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!5Views0likes0CommentsNew unlicensed OneDrive user accounts policy

I am working for the MSP Lucrasoft, we use an RMM to automate powershell scripts to workdevices to monitor them. We get a lot of "OneDrive for Business, error with syncing" alerts. What I always see is that if OneDrive is restarted (manually) the sync is done again and the error is solved. Do people have a powershell script to "re sync", a script that we can initialize when an alert like this is coming up. So we don't have to manually restart or reïnstall onedrive to solve it17Views0likes0CommentsTroubleshooting OneDrive Sync Issues: A Step-by-Step Guide

Hi all I'm using the latest version of Onedrive together with an updated Windows 11 and FSLogix (latest version) with Office profile disks. When using the file explorer to open folders from onedrive folders in the middle pane, it takes 10-20 seconds till the next window opens. When navigating in the same file explorer window but with the left treeview, everything is fast. When opening a file from within Word, Excel, ... with the popup file explorer, everything is fast. So the issue is only when clicking in the main window of a file explorer. I've done already all the updates, sfc, dism, reinstalled Onedrive, ... The issue is with all users.24KViews7likes24CommentsSharing Link - Something Went Wrong
I've had a lot of trouble recently with the use of sharing links. I'll create a sharing link from within Office, send it out, then when someone clicks on it the link doesn't work. Yesterday this happened, so I created a new sharing link, then tested it myself. The other users were able to access the document and respond with comments, so this morning I updated the document, and when I look in OneDrive now, the document is no longer listed as Shared and the sharing link that worked yesterday no longer works. Has anyone else observed this sort of behavior and have you found any solutions? The error you get on attempted access is: Sorry, something went wrong Sorry, you cannot access this document. Please contact the person who shared it with you. TECHNICAL DETAILS Troubleshoot issues with Microsoft SharePoint Foundation. Hello I have problem with OneDrive. User is not signed in OneDrive but the folder 'C:\Users\%username%\OneDrive - My Org' exist and you can browse all file names and open files which are cached locally. I have found out that you can clear saved user credentials by deleteing this json file (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/clear-onedrive-cached-credentials-5b7d944e-89ce-4fbd-812c-a1d93645cfd1) but this does not help because the user is not logged in OneDrive. del /q /f "%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\OneDrive\settings\PreSignInSettingsConfig.json" In this document https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/troubleshoot/sync/onedrive-local-folder-name-not-updated it's guided to unlink the user account from OneDrive Settings but this cannot be done because user is not logged in OneDrive. I have also deleted this reg key as suggested in the document but this this did not help. reg delete "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\OneDrive" /f 2>nul Only solution so far have been backing up all files, then removing the whole user profile but this is not practical. I would like to unlink the OneDrive by using PowerShell or a batch file.65Views0likes1CommentSharing one drive files directly from outlook
My team is relatively new to using one drive. We are looking to migrate our files over to OneDrive to be able to collaboratively work on files however we cant seem to share one drive files directly from an outlook email e.g. via attach file. For addiitonal context our files are housed in an ms teams 'Files' section which I have then synced to my computer so these can be accessed through file explorer. However when I try to attach a file from an outlook email and choose a file in one of these synced folders it just downloads and attaches as a local file. I am aware you can use the 'browse web locations' under the attach files drop down however I then have to manually navigate through all the subfolders until I get to the target documents' location. Ideally I want to be able to pin onedrive folders to my quick access that I can use to reach the onedrive files and not download them as local files to attach. Any tips on sharing OneDrive files directly from outlook would be great.Solved91Views0likes2CommentsCircular blue arrows never go away on many files
Win 11 user with OneDrive. I create a lot of photoshop PSD files and, from them, JPG files. At one point, those would all get a green checkmark after a bit, but for quite some time now, they all stay blue round arrow circles. Likewise for many images saved from Snipping Tool. I'm still able to save Word and Excel automatically to OneDrive, but I don't know what could have cause this to stop with picture files on my Documents folder. I've only used about 20% of my OneDrive space, so it's not about that. ... You can see the clear line of delineation in the image from Exploring attached. On Aug 5, I used Snipping Tool to create jpg "A" and it's got the green check. But everything since, like image "B", created exactly the same way, stays blue arrows. This keeps me from being able to access my work when on the road. Would love some idea what could be stopping these files from moving successfully, since I don't see any error messages anywhere. ... In the second screen print, you can see that it ALWAYS says "Syncing" in Exploring (Should it? Should it ever just say "Synched"?) and that I've not filled my quota. Help appreciated!49KViews5likes8Comments
