I have very limited experience with SharePoint 2013 and I haven't had any luck finding something online that would give me any ideas as to where I could find the settings for this - but I'm trying to modify this image to stop overlapping the rest of the text of my webpart. (This was an inherited page) This is pulling from an Article page specifically for this webpart. Image aligned on the left. I've even tried using the same pixel size as other images (that show up correctly - see below for example) Im hesitant to think the webpart settings need to be adjusted as the rest of the story images are showing up correctly - minus the one I put in. Hopefully someone else has run into something similar and can point me in the right direction467Views0likes0CommentsSharepoint SE News Webpart Not Working
We have a fresh, out-of-the box new Sharepoint Subscription Edition modern site setup but the News Webpart is not working. It looks fine in edit mode but reverts to empty, new preview after hitting publish. We found the following strange behavior with the News webpart: Looks fine and shows annoucements/news items fine in edit mode Shows only empty/preview after publishing If you refresh the page, does not help click HOME navigation link the webpart refreshes and displays correctly click HOME navigation link a second time the webpart goes back to empty/preview Every second HOME click the webpart is working If you place TWO News webparts on the same page, the SECOND webpart always displays correctly We have no special code, add-ins, packages or anything else installed. It is a plain-jane modern site with only a few simple, ordinary default configured webparts in the layout. There is also nothing special about the announcement pages. We even tried deleting all the real announcement and made several plain 'test' announcements. Same issue. It seems like there is some late java-script or client-side return/rendering which causes the webpart to think the news content is empty but remains in cache or somewhere so on the subsequent request it renders correctly. In edit mode, this cache, staging or temp data is not used so always works.748Views0likes0CommentsAudience Targeting - News Web Part
We have a SharePoint Teams site which currently has certain web parts that have audience tartgeting, currently on the site we have Navigational Links & Quick Links which Audience Targeting works accordingly. However, for the news web part - any news thats featured here audience Targeting does not apply - we have security groups etc set up which work for other Tartgeting. However, for Example when we have News Article A which is targeted to Group A when a user logs onto a site for say Group B they are able to see this article on the main featured news part, nonetheless once they click the see all news article link above the featured articles, Article A is hide from Group B. Any idea why this won't work on featured articles on the main page.854Views0likes0CommentsFilter News Webpart to not display certain posts
I know that you can filter news items you want to display in a web part, but is there a way to set a filter so that it doesn't display a news item? I am creating two news Web parts on the same comms site. I want one to focus on a very specific topic - every title will contain the same words so it's easy to filter the news using those words. However, I want the second web part to display all other news minus the topic I just described. I realise I could re-order the news, but it would be much simpler just to set a rule. I hope that makes sense.5.9KViews0likes3CommentsSharePoint News Connector (MS Teams)
There is no way to configure the connector is this correct? (-> see Picture below, i cant do nothing) I can only activate the connector for one channel and it should automatically connect to the corresponding SPO with NewsWebPart. So I can't even configure multiple connectors in a team that pull information from different SPOnlines News WepParts?1.5KViews0likes0CommentsNews Webpart - Organising News - Breaking
Hi All, Is anyone else getting issues with the News Webpart when organising pinned news. For me there is an issue where pinning news to all slots breaks the Webpart in certain ways. The resolution is always to remove all pinned news items and then re-pin, in this case the top 4 news items. The issues being caused so far are:- 1. Main news article image not showing. 2. The order the items are pinned not being replicated to the Webpart. Andy530Views0likes0CommentsBug: Copy of a news post
I'm not sure if anyone else has noticed this but on a Communications site I have a news web part that displays news from sites across my hub. If I click on New and the select "Copy of this news post" I create the new content but it doesn't publish it in the news web part. It saves it OK and the PromotedState is set to 2 as it should be, it's just that the news web part doesn't display it. So be careful when copying an existing news post!
