On my MacBook Air M1 (running the latest OS X version) I am not getting any messages or notifications at all, and not only on the desktop app, but neither on the web app. As soon as I refresh (the web app) or quit & open the desktop app, the messages will appear, but I won't be getting any new messages/notifications until I refresh/re-open the app again. This is happening only on my MacBook, in the meanwhile I get all the messages¬ifications instantly on my iOS device. I have already tried turning notification on and off, cleared out the cache by removing these files: Library/Application\ Support/Microsoft/Teams/Application Cache/Cache Library/Application\ Support/Microsoft/Teams/blob_storage Library/Application\ Support/Microsoft/Teams/Cache Library/Application\ Support/Microsoft/Teams/databases Library/Application\ Support/Microsoft/Teams/GPUCache Library/Application\ Support/Microsoft/Teams/IndexedDB Library/Application\ Support/Microsoft/Teams/Local Storage Library/Application\ Support/Microsoft/Teams/tmp But since the web app is behaving the same way, I don't think that it's an issue with the desktop app files. Worth mentioning, my iOS device (where I get all the messages) is connected to the same Wi-Fi connection as the MacBook. And also MS Teams was working fine on Friday (6th of May), and I have not changed any configuration, did not install any new apps and nor did I update anything else on the laptop. If anyone knows what might be the issue, I would appreciate it a lot!12KViews1like9CommentsMac Teams Client - Main Teams window stops displaying after a few days
I have been running Teams client on my Mac for over a year now, through various updates and versions both of the Teams client and of MacOS. I'm currently on MacOS 10.14.6 andMicrosoft Teams Version 1.3.00.4460. What I see regularly is that the main Teams window just stops being accessible. Usually I have it running all the time in the regular display mode - not full screen - and can alt-tab switch between Teams and other apps as normal. Then, after a while, I suddenly find that when I alt-tab to Teams, the app window no longer appears. The menubar shows the Teams menu, and I can go through the menu OK, but most options have no effect. 'About Microsoft Teams' does nothing. Window > Bring All to Front does nothing. Window > Minimize does nothing, etc. The Help options mostly work, but that's about all. The only solution is to Quit Microsoft Teams and restart the app. It's a real pain. I frequently end up missing messages because of this. Has anyone else encountered this issue?20KViews10likes46CommentsTeams login keeps using old organization SSO (classic, Mac)
I’m running Teams classic on my Mac (because there doesn’t seem to be a personal use version of the new Teams). I used to use it with my prior job, now I want to use a personal credential. However, it keeps popping up a SSO (single sign-on) modal to authenticate with my prior organization, where I no longer work. There is no way to cancel or use an alternative, personal credential. Trying to close the modal does nor resolve the issue. What the heck? How do I tell Teams classic (Mac) to stop using SSO from the old org?3.2KViews0likes3CommentsTeams signing into old organization (same email address) Mac/Ventura 13.4
For the past week I've repeatedly had Teams give me a login error and enter a cycle where it automatically reboots. I have been able to fix it by force quitting, removing all the Teams keychain items and deleting Teams from ~/Library/Application Support/Microsoft, then reinstalling. I found this solution in these forums, so thank you. But two days later the same thing happens again and I'd like to stop it from happening. My company is sometimes granted access to the Office environments of our clients and Teams keeps trying to sign me into a former client. I can see this when (after several application reboots) Teams gives me an error message and I see the client's name in the URL. My main/normal email address is the one that was given access to the client, so it isn't an issue of using different credentials. When I look at "My Account" in "Organizations" the client creating the error is not listed there. How do I remove this phantom/old organizational link so Teams stops trying to send me there?Solved1.3KViews0likes2CommentsTeams for Mac - Account selector to show more than two acccounts
A user i'm helping is employed by and needs to switch between 3 organizations in Microsoft Teams. She is using the Teams app for Mac. When signing out of Teams she can only pick between the first two accounts used. The third account (tenant) will not show up in the account selection list. You would expect to be able to manage this list, or that it would atleast show the most recently used accounts. As it is now she has to manually type in the third account email+password+MFA each time. Is there a way to reset this list or make it show more than 2 accounts?16KViews0likes2CommentsMicrosoft Teams Converting Sent images to MicrosoftTeams-image.png
Hi all, 1st post here so hopefully this is ok. I have a Mac user on teams that whenever they send an image, teams always converts itMicrosoftTeams-image.png, it could be titled anything but will always convert it to that when it's being downloaded. It only appears to be affecting mac users, tested it in two completely unrelated environments and the same happens on both.7.1KViews1like4CommentsLimitations of unlicensed MS Teams: Virtual Backgrounds for Mac
Looking to better understand the limitations of unlicensed MS Teams desktop app around virtual backgrounds for Mac When a user joins Teams meeting using MS Teams app preinstalled but is not logged into the app, They can join the meeting use the mic, video cam, and share screen but what I am finding is they are unable to select the virtual background option. If the user has access to an MS account/license that supports the login of MS Teams then they are able to use the virtual background. Do we know if MS limit the desktop app form using virtual background if the app is not signed in with an MS Teams license for Mac? I understand the hardware requirements for MS Teams for Mac. I have been testing this with Macbook Air from 2020 that supports virtual backgrounds. Has anyone else run across this. Any help would be appreciated2.1KViews1like1CommentMeeting participants in Microsoft Teams for MAC
Hello! We are experiencing weird issues with 2 different customers that are using Teams for MAC. The first user, when creating a new meeting in Teams for MAC, cannot invite addresses from within her own organisation. So, UserA@companyA.comcannot invite UserB@companyA.com. Any other address is fine, including e-mail addresses that do not exist. The second user, from another company entirely, is experiencing the same issue, but reversed. She cannot invite external addresses, only internal. I'm leaning toward this being some kind of setting, but I am not sure where to look. Would kindly appreciate any help. Thank you & have a nice day!1.2KViews0likes1CommentMicrosoft Teams Adds a Period (and duplicates file) after uploading to the Desktop App
Hello, When I have been using Teams and uploading files to the desktop app, Teams adds a period and duplicates each file. For example I would upload the file "Test.jpg" and Teams would also upload ".Test.jpg". The duplicate does not have any data but when I send files over to my teams through Sharepoint they think that the files aren't there and I have to delete these additional files. Does anyone know how to fix this headache? I don't want to have to delete all of these additional files when I upload. Using Mac OS Mojave version 10.14.161.4KViews0likes0Comments
