We are happy to announce that the April 2020 release (1.2020.402.0) of the MSIX Packaging Tool is now available! We have been evaluating the public health situation and understand the impact this is having on many of our customers. Due to the current circumstances, we are offering the April 2020 release as an opt-in update. If you are eager to move on to the latest public release of the MSIX Packaging Tool, you can download it now, here. If this is your first time downloading the tool, you will also need this license. We’ve also gone ahead and updated our Quick Create VM with the April release, so you can get it that way too. Our April 2020 release features new abilities such as importing and exporting registry keys, and the ability to add MSIX Core support through the UI of the tool, rather than editing the manifest manually. To learn more about other great features and fixes we’ve made, you can check out our release notes. If you have any questions, feature ideas, or just want to connect with the Product Team, join our Tech Community. We love connecting and hearing from you, so don’t hesitate to file any feedback with us via the Feedback Hub as well! Don’t forget about our Insider Program, which gets you early access to releases as they are in development! If you are already a member, you have the public release version of the MSIX Packaging Tool available to you today! We will re-evaluate our process with our next release which is targeted in the July 2020 timeframe but in the meantime, we hope you are well and staying safe.
