I have a lot of important files and applications C drive, so I'm trying to find a way to reset Windows 10 password without losing any data. [LTSC] Windows Hello Facial Recognition - Installation OR Repair
Hello Tech Community, Recently, I discovered that Windows Hello Facial Recognition is either disabled or removed from Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021 (21H2), and after a skim of the archives, could not find any method to install Windows Hello to these devices. Q: Are/Is the device(s) in question compatible with Windows Hello Facial Recognition? A: They are by the OEM, claiming that an IR module is specifically installed in each unit with compatibility guaranteed. Q: Are/Is the device(s) in question using the correct Windows Hello Facial Recognition-compatible driver? A: The drivers have been installed in full, and Windows prompts users to set up Windows Hello Facial Recognition rather than reporting that no compatible device is installed. Q: Are/Is the device(s) in question affected by any OEM/user modifications which could inhibit Windows Hello's ability to function properly? A: Microsoft Edge has been uninstalled (using the built-in uninstaller bundled with LTSC 2021) from the device(s), however no non-standard (including Enterprise-specific) settings/programs have been altered outside of that. Q: What issue is occurring when attempting to configure Windows Hello Facial Recognition on the device(s)? A: The introduction to Windows Hello Facial Recognition simply force-stops/crashes when Get Started is pressed, as if an application is not present. This may also be a missing Universal Windows Program (.uwp), as no other UWPs are present in this install, as far as I'm aware. My question to you: Is it possible to install or repair Windows Hello (the combined package, preferably) to this installation of Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC? Currently after we install Windows, we have to go to settings and change PC name and then perform another restart. so if Windows would let user choose a custom PC/device name, instead of randomly generating one, it would be more convenient. When a game is being downloaded, and then I drag its icon from "recently added" list of Start menu and drop it on Start menu to make a tile out of it and Pin it there, it will be a blank icon and have no content after game Is finished downloading and installed. it will still launch the game, but it's just blank. if I unpin it and pin the game icon again, it will still have a blank icon on Start menu tiles and app list on start menu. if you can reproduce this issue, please add your details to the feedback: https://aka.ms/AAan0fk (this has been happening in the Beta channel, Dev channel FE and RS releases.)Disabling mod installation for a game shouldn't require us to download the whole game again
After enabling mods for games, e.g. Halo MCC, and then when we want to disable it, we need to download the whole game again (120GB). this is a crazy requirement, and shouldn't happen. we should be able to enable mod installation for a game, use our mods, then when we are done with it, go back to the original state without having to reinstall the whole game again. Uinstalling programs should be handled from within the Settings app, not control panel Right-clicking on non-store programs (such as those installing from websites, basically Win32 programs) in start menu should launch that program's uninstaller instead of opening control panel. right now what is happening is that the control panel is opened then nothing else. user must go and find the program from the list, click on uninstall and continue from there. this all should be handled with the Settings app and right-clicking on any program on start menu and choosing "uninstall" should launch that program's uninstaller right away. whether that program is a Win32 app or UWP app. Upvote this feedback to support it: https://aka.ms/AA6p782
