Hi Tech Community, Is there a way we can deploy Fslogix policies via intune for multi session Azure Virtual Desktops hosts ? Currently I am doing it either via GPO or manual registry settings. I can run a powershell script in Intune to set the same registries but I was looking for a better way to do it via Intune configuration profiles. Thanks, Yash3.2KViews0likes1CommentFSLogix Error
Hello All, We have configured insights in the AVD hostpool and are getting the below error related to Fslogix, so does anyone have a solution to fix this issue? Failed to get computer's group SIDs Failed to run import action on OneNote registry key: eula.reg (Access is denied.) Failed attempted attach to OneNote, the application may not work correctly (Access is denied.) Hi all, We've been testing the latest Teams 2.1 Bootstrapper on our non-persistent Horizon VDI machines but having issues once we bring FSLogix into the mix. We are able to deploy new Teams onto our base image and when using a local profile it launches and runs as expected from the shortcut in the Start Menu. Similarly on our physical PCs Classic Teams > New Teams upgrades without issue (we're not running FSLogix on physical machines... yet) When logging in with FSLogix enabled (frxtray shows version 2.9.8228.50276) the Teams shortcut is present, however clicking it produces a white progress bar and no further action. We have updated our Redirections.xml to one we found here https://www.jeffriechers.com/wiki/teams-2-1-with-fslogix-setup-guide/comment-page-1/ If we look at the properties of the Windows Store App for Teams it returns 16KB, which seems wrong? Looking in Event Viewer AppxPackaging log we see this error, can't find much online relating to it. App manifest validation warning: Declared namespace http://schemas.microsoft.com/appx/manifest/uap/windows10/7 is inapplicable, it will be ignored during manifest processing. I note from another thread that there's a GPO for ODFC called IncludeTeams that needs to be turned on to roam the new Teams cache etc. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/new-teams-vdi-requirements-deploy HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\FSLogix\ODFC\IncludeTeams However we don't use ODFC as FSLogix is in single-profile mode as recommended here... https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/fslogix/tutorial-configure-odfc-containers Using the ODFC container in a dual container configuration isn't necessary or recommended. So my question is: does anyone have new Teams 2.1 working with FSLogix HF4 and single container profile? is ODFC required for Teams 2.1 to operate? If so is there any definitive MS documentation to say this as it seems rather vague and support are not giving us any further information has anyone got a stable non-persistent VDI desktop working with Teams 2.1 and FSLogix in general? Any input much appreciated as it feels like we've hit a wall here at present. The MS documentation suggests Hotfix 4 is meant to be the supported configuration for Teams 2.x but struggling to find evidence of a working setup. As an aside the reason we're running FSLogix in the first place is in order for OneDrive client to be deployed onto our non-persistent VDI machines as Microsoft don't support Roaming Profiles for this (which is what we used for roaming user data previously)1.9KViews0likes3CommentsWindows 11 MultiSession built in appx apps missing from first logon
Hi we have a strange issue with Windows 11 multisession. The environment consists of 22h2 and fslogix and Citrix. We build our images from code each time so they are consistent and build images for windows 10 and 11 from the same core code just with a few changes for windows 11 specific items. Fslogix - 2.9.8612.60056 We use nonpersistent machines and issue we are having with windows 11 which we do not see with windows 10 is that if a user profile exists and a machine is created fresh the first time a user logs on their default built in apps like notepad, paint etc are missing from apps and cannot even be searched. If they log out and back on the apps then show up as new apps. If the profile is new the apps are already there without the new app notification, however once their profile is created if they then log on to another fresh machine created the apps are missing again until the second login to the same machine. we don’t have this issue with windows 10 and are stuck with what could be causing the problem. has anyone experienced anything similar with windows 11 multisession?1.5KViews0likes3CommentsRecycle bin error at logoff
Hello We are currently using 2210 Hotfix2 and we experience a weird thin at users logoff. Recycle Bin Roaming is enabled in FSLogix. Users folders (desktop, ..) are redirected. Citrix is involved but Special Folders Redirection has been disabled (since it causes the delete of files in known folders to be nuked at deletion Recycle Bin is working and roaming but we have this error at every logoff of every user. Hi guys we have a new Server 2019 image, where we have installed FSLogix 2.9.8228.50276. I'm trying to have the Profile Disk attached to the server when i logg in. We have another server where the VHDX is working just fine. On the new server i'm able to have it attached just once. When i logg off and login again, i see the following errors in the event log: Event ID: 26 Failed to attach VHD. (The I/O operation has been aborted because of either a thread exit or an application request. Event ID: 41 Sessionid: 2, ErrorCode:995, Detail: Logon failed, please check logs and tracelogging and verify that the users disk was detached I don't see the disk attached on the server. Can some guide me, what could cause that issue? Thanks and best regards, Marc1.2KViews0likes0CommentsFSLogix Profile Disk - Bloated with MS Search .EBF File in AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Search\Data\App
FSLogix Profile Disk - Bloated with MS Search .EBF File in AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\S-XXXX We have an issue whereby the Search EDB File in Users Profiles is growing and Bloating the Disk Size. With the File being stored in AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Search\Data\Applications\S-XXXX We had assumed (possible incorrectly) that Disabling the Store Search Database in the Profile or o365 Container would prevent the file being created in either Profile Disk. Below are the GPO Settings used in our environment so we have either mis-understood the configuration settings or options to exclude the EDB Files or found an undocumented "feature" in the version we have deployed which is 2.9.7979.62170 We have a fairly Standard FSLogix Deployment that is configured for Multi-Session Support via a GPO Policy -> O365 -> Allow concurrent user sessions - Enabled Enabled - Enabled Store Search Database in Office 365 Container - Disabled VHD Access Type - Unique Per Disk Policy -> Profile -> Allow concurrent user sessions - Enabled Enabled - Enabled Store Search Database in Profile Container - Disabled Profile Type - Try for Read-Write and fallback to Read-Only So my query is have we mis-understood the configuration and if so other than using an Exclude in the redirection.xml file how can we ensure the Search Data isn't retained and doesnt fill up the RDS Server Local Disk Space when redirected to the C:\users\local_username\AppData\Roaming\.... folder than would be used by an exclude entry1.2KViews0likes0CommentsFSLogix Antivirus Exclusions with Standard Microsoft Image
I'm using one of the standard Microsoft images for my Azure AVD setup. The multi-session image is Windows 11 Enterprise with O365 and FSLogix pre-installed. I have setup the necessary GPO for FSLogix and all is working well. Can I assume that Microsoft already applied the necessary antivirus exclusions for FSLogix with Defender? Hello, we're trying to deploy the New Microsoft Teams in our infrastructure. Technical details: - Citrix CVAD 1912LTSR CU8 (VDAs are running 2311.0.0.247) - Windows 10 22H2 19045.4291 - Teams 24074.2321.2810.3500 - Citrix HDX Optimized - FSLogix 2210 hotfix 3 (2.9.8784.63912) - Machines are deployes using both PVS and MCS New Teams opens up, but the "Account/Status management" drop-down menu at the top-right of the MS Teams window disappears immediately. As a result, users can't manage their status and change their profile settings. Screenshot of what's missing: What MS Teams looks like in our Citrix VDI environment: Troubleshooting done so far: - New Teams re-deployment (completely uninstalled and installed) - Cache cleared - User profile (FSLogix) reset and re-created from scratch Any idea on what could be the cause of the issue?
