Skype for Business currently installs as a packaged product with Microsoft 365 Business Professional desktop apps. The installation does not install Teams as a part of the Microsoft 365 Business Professional desktop apps. Additionally, Skype for Business has its own installation which is separate from Microsoft 365 Business Professional desktop apps installation. Windows OS: 11 Pro w/ Windows updates. Issues: Users are unable to remove Skype for Business from their desktop by clicking “Uninstall” located on the Windows Start menu. Teams upgrade requires Skype for Business settings to be set manually via the Teams Admin Center. Using the PowerShell command: uninstall-package 'Microsoft Skype for Business MUI (English) 2016' to remove Skype for Business requires NuGet to be manually installed prior to performing a removal task or does not remove the application at all. The odd thing about this is that the system recognizes that a 2016 edition of Skype for Business exists. Note: Microsoft Word reads with the following version number: Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2508 Build 16.0.19127.20082) 64-bit Granting and then revoking API permissions via Entra Admin center does not separate Skype for Business from the Microsoft 365 Business Professional installation. Uninstalling Microsoft 365 Business Professional desktop apps only removes the Skype for Business app temporarily until reinstallation occurs.8Views0likes0CommentsSkype phone numbers we are using for US, AU are not working at all, we need help please
We have already paid for yearly renting of the Skype phone numbers we are using for US, AU and these are not working because are not getting redirected after the right settings in place, also the voicemails are not working at all, no settings working at all and after paying there is no one to talk to and report the issue, no email of support, no department of support to send ticket, no phone number, absolutely nothing to provide you support as client for something that you paid and is not working!!! I have tried to adjust the settings based on the forms from the Skype app for windows also from the Skype app for web and I tried both the redirect also the voicemail and none of them working to be setup. So disappointed and we already paid for 1 year in advance for both of them. We need help!314Views0likes0CommentsNo way to zoom in/out when someone is sharing screen?

Hello, We are facing an issue with one of our infrastructures. Our servers are running Skype 2015 with clients using Skype for Business 2016 on their computers (Don't ask me why, we acquired the clients this way and they don't want to change :D). For 3 users out of more than 3000, we are experiencing problems with Skype delegation through Outlook when trying to schedule Skype meetings. Every time they attempt to create a Skype meeting for the person they have delegated for, they receive an error stating that they do not have the rights to do so... even though they do. We have: Verified the SIP addresses and everything is okay. Deleted and re-created the sharing, but the issue persists. MAPI connection on the Skype clients is functioning correctly. Tested with a new Outlook profile, which worked fine. If anyone has any ideas, I would greatly appreciate it!! Thanks a lot576Views0likes1Commentbackground static noise on audio with Skype for B. call while using the Yamaha CS-700 microphone
SFB is used for meetings with the desktop client. When we use the Yamaha CS-700 microphone, there is a strong background noise over the voice, received by the other participants in the meeting. This is happening only with Skype, not with Teams.643Views0likes0CommentsSkype starts a "busy phone sound and disconnect sound" in the headphones
ello I got a lot of users who are complaining of a "busy phone sound and disconnect sound" playing in a loop in the headphones (jabra, poly or private). Its start most of the time when coming out of standby( some not), returning from homework, connecting to the dock. There is no clear line in it. the only way to stop it is to stop skype app and the skype background process. after restarting skype its gone for a while. There are no outgoing calls in the logs. it just plays the sound without stopping I updated all drivers and firmware of the hardware. All patches are in place. I can not replicate the trigger or the sound. Edition Windows 10 Enterprise Version 20H2 Installed on 1/06/2022 OS build 19042.2364 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4190.0 Skype® for Business for Microsoft 365 MSO (Version 2202 Build 16.0.14931.20858) 64-bit I can not replicate the issue. So can't test it on web.skype. I spend a lot of time of disconnecting replugging everything to trigger it or to stop it. Only killing the app and background process wil stop it. and then it does not come back. Until whatever trigger it3.8KViews0likes4CommentsAppear offline in Skype for Business
Hello Community, Ever wondered if we can appear Offline in Skype for Business? Well, then you are at the right place. To enable "Appear Offline" add the below registry (create it if not present) [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Lync] "EnableAppearOffline"=dword:0000000165KViews1like3CommentsSkype for Business is Continually Running High CPU on Mac
I am currently running macOS Monterey (12.5.1) with Skype for Business (SfB) 16.29.95. SfB is constantly running high on the CPU, even with a Quad-Core Intel Core i5. This appears to have started with the latest macOS Security Update. I've tried uninstalling/installing SfB and followed https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/skype/forum/all/skype-for-business-mac-at-high-cpu/ba87249f-c12f-475a-ad4f-0dec367745e0 suggestion of removing items from the User Library, then restarted. I even repeated the process, downloading and installing a fresh copy of the SfB app to no avail. SfB still regularly takes up a large amount of processing power on my Mac, making it challenging to use many Adobe apps with the extra CPU load. I know this is a reoccurring issue, but I am looking for other suggestions to resolve this issue.1.1KViews0likes0CommentsSkype4Business Crash In Windows 11, But Is Fine On Windows 10 Machines
Hi Community, I'm trying to support one colleague with very unusual Skype4Business (part of Office 2016 Pro.) crash issue. After user has successfully launched and login at S4B, the app will crash and disappear in less than a minute. We've tried some remediation steps, but still unable to determine the cause of the crashes. Re-formatted user's laptop again, then applied all Windows 11 and Office updates, but her S4B profile still crashed. Tried her S4B login to different Windows 11 machine, and S4B app still crashed in less than a minute. Other users tested on her Windows 11 laptop have no issue, as S4B app do not crash. If we test her S4B login at other Windows 10 machines, surprisingly S4B does not crash - so crashes only happen on Windows 11 machines The affected Skype4B build number is 16.0.4266.1001. We collected ".UccApilog" logs when her S4B app/profile crashed in Windows 11 - is this Forum the correct place to share the Skype log ? Thank you.597Views0likes0Comments
