Copilot in SharePoint

A new SharePoint Site content and policy comparison report is available to tenants with Microsoft 365 Copilot or SharePoint advanced management licenses. The idea is that you choose some reference sites to compare other sites against to detect deviations from the reference site. It seems like a good idea if you’re trying to impose standards to control Copilot. Unhappily, attempts at running the report turned up zero results. https://office365itpros.com/2025/09/11/sharepoint-site-content-comparison/11Views0likes0CommentsCopilot Agent in SharePoint App
I created a new Copilot agent (using GPT-4) that refers to knowledge from SharePoint sites and published to SharePoint site. I configured 'Authenticate with Microsoft' under 'Security'. Approved the agent from SharePoint site and set as 'default' for the site. It works as expected when launched from a SharePoint web page. However, when the agent is launched from SharePoint app, it says, 'connect to your Microsoft account' and if I click Sign in button, it throws an error 'Cannot connect'. Then the agent fails. What am I missing here?48Views0likes3CommentsAsk Copilot Agent created using Copilot Studio about custom metadata
I created an Agent using Copilot Studio, and i define the source to be a SharePoint online site. The site contain a document library which contain custom column named "MCProjectLeadUse" of type People or Group, Now if i directly asked the agent about the MCProjectLeadUser for a document named "Salary.docx", i will get this reply that it can not find this custom column:- So the only way i find it to fix this, is to create a Power Automate, which accept the entered file name , and return the custom field as follow:- and call this power automate from the copilot, as follow:- but is there a more appropriate approach to do this? as doing this inside Power Automate, means that we are not fully benefiting from AI capabilities, but rather return the values inside structured power automate flows using the traditional none-AI approach. So what if we add new custom column? or remove existing columns? can not we force the Agent to understand those custom properties out of the box? instead of using power automate? The creation of Copilot Agent is now enabled in SharePoint 🚀. Users holding M365 Copilot licenses will notice a new Copilot feature in the Suite Navigation bar, tailored to the site they are currently viewing. Additionally, they will find options to create Copilot agents from the 'New' menu on the homepage and within their document libraries. These features are accessible only to users with existing creation and editing rights on the site or document library. Moreover, they have the option to share a Copilot agent link with other users, who, if they possess a Microsoft 365 Copilot license, will be able to interact with it. #SharePoint #MicrosoftSharePoint #Microsoft365 #MPVbuzz #Copilot #AI8.6KViews9likes20CommentsQuestion about Copilot Studio licensing...
Hello, I had few questions about Copilot Studio Tenant License and also its Copilot Studio User License, and any insights or confirmations would be great. We are trying to Question 1. I read on the documentation that Copliot Studio User License needs to be assigned to users to allow them to create Agents (after purchasing Copliot Studio Tenant License). Is this "User License" free to assign to users and is there a limit? Question 2. Can users with Copilot Studio User License create an Agent and published to this below Copliot Chat page? When publishing an Agent, can we only make it available to a group of users? My understanding is Agent's response made to any users will deduct from monthly 25,000 cap Question 3. In SharePoint Online, I know users with Microsoft 365 Copliot License will see this Copilot button at top-right corner and use Agents... Is it possible to create Agents and deploy to SharePoint Online sites under Copliot Studio Tenant/User License? If so, will users then see the same Copliot button and interact with Agents? Question 4. I have Microsoft 365 Copliot License and I love how it summarizes after a Teams meeting. If I remove that M365 Copliot License and get the company gets Copilot Studio Tenant License, will I still get a summary?263Views1like1CommentNot getting Table data from Word file which present in SharePoint Online Document Library
Hi, I have Copilot agent created and configure knowledge source as one of Document library from SharePoint Online. I have couple of word files which are present in the library having multiple table formatted data in it. While prompting to get data of table from word document agent is not able to get that data. I have developed many copilot agents using copilot studio, which have SharePoint sites and datavesrse tables as their source.. but i have those questions that i can not find a clear answers on them:- 1- Is there an order to how knowledge sources are indexed by a copilot agent? and if the source is SharePoint does Copilot use the classic SharePoint search ? 2- Why do we sometimes get inconsistent answers when asking the same questions? 3-Is there a way to integrate a PowerBI list instead of a SharePoint list? 4- Can the agent learn through user interaction? does generative AI need to be turned on for this to occur? In other words, if we have the same source, should we expect the same Copilot agent to provide more clear answers in the future, due to improvement to the underlying AI algorithms?
