Chat with external user instead of guest user
Problem: We have a user as a guest user in our AAD, but since the user is logged in to their own tenant most of the time, I can't chat with that user (it's always offline, last logged on 9/19/19). If I select search firstname.lastname@domain.com externally, it only gives me the guest user option. Problem should not be with external access since my organization can chat with other external contacts in that external organization. Teams Chat Gets the Shared Tab
The old Files tab in Teams chat is being replaced by the Shared tab. The new tab exposes both files and hyperlinks and Microsoft says that the Shared tab will support more types of objects in the future. No dates are given for the future enhancements, but the new Shared tab will roll out for Teams chat users in early July 2024. Deleted Message shows up in Activity > Feed
Hi community, While using Team and messaging in a channel, post a message which was not intended for the channel, so deleted the message. Even though it got deleted from the channel chat window, the channel members were able to see a the first line of the chat in the Activity > Feed window (although on selecting the feed entry it shows the message was deleted). is there a way where i can stop this from happening? If i delete the chat, it can retain the activity in the feed but not show the chat text as a preview.Dealing with Teams Chat Messages When People Leave
Tenant administrators know that they need to deal with mailboxes and OneDrive accounts when people leave, but what about Teams chat messages? Or rather, the information stored in the compliance records captured in Exchange Online mailboxes? MS Teams - unable to search for a user externally
Hello, I'd like to ask if anyone knows how to fix an issue wherein a person cannot find another user externally in Teams however his colleagues in the same company can exchange messages to the same external user. Both the concerned user and the external user cannot find each other in Teams. Thank you!
