Hello All, I've never had this issue but for some reason it's become a problem. I sent out he annual Christmas get together invite in Outlook as a meeting. Didn't get a lot of responses. Followed up with a reminder email. For some reason people started approaching my desk or stopping me in the hall to TELL me they're attending. I'm not sure what the aversion to hitting the accept/decline meeting is but wondered, is there a way to mark a person as Attending a meeting manually? It doesn't warrant delegation etc. but it would help a lot with managing the process if I could track attendees in one place. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. I need to create a Teams meeting invite using Calendar where the candidate being interviewed has to wait in the lobby until they are permitted into the meeting by the hosts. How exactly do I do this with Calendar? Supposedly it has something to do with the specific Teams link of the meeting.3.5KViews0likes1CommentOutlook: Appointment: Scheduling Assistent: Manuell changed times does not affect final appointment

Hello everyone, We have an issue where a user can't use any of it's M365 group calendars in the Outlook client (for Windows) anymore. Once a new item should be created, we receive the error message from the screenshot below. The permissions are all fine, since on OWA the calendars are fully functional. What we did so far: - Recreate the mail profile in the control center - Reinstall whole Office suite (includes Outlook) - Upgrade Office suite from 32 to 64 bit Finally the mentioned error message (unfortunately in german), but I think the english translation would be "The operation failed. An object could not be found.": Maybe someone has an idea how to solve this issue? Thank you!1.9KViews0likes0Comments7 Outlook Tips to Boost Your Productivity

Hi, Is there a way to change the Bing public places location suggestions to Google Maps? I find that Bing is absolutely terrible and cannot find many local places which Google Maps can. If there is no such option, then I'd love to develop an add-in for it, but I cannot find any mention in the add-in SDK whether it is possible to hook into that functionality and provide results from elsewhere. I would appreciate your help on this!1.5KViews0likes1CommentO365 Group Calendar: Invite specific users but not whole Group
One of our users just reported this and, initially, I thought it was user error, but I'm seeing the same behavior myself in other Groups. Basically, when you create an event on a Group Calendar, there is a checkbox labeled "Send a meeting invite to group members". If you uncheck this and create the event, only those "following" the Group get an invite. If you uncheck it and then add/invite a specific person, that box rechecks and is disabled. So, it does not seem possible to send an invite to specific people without also inviting the whole Group. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNENw__PcPQ for a demonstration of this behavior. There are many situations where someone might want to add an event to a Group calendar and invite only specific members of the Group, or even someone outside of the Group, so I'm hoping this is not "by design" and is something that MS can fix.1.2KViews0likes0CommentsSnooze not working on iOS 13
Not sure when it happened but snooze on the calendar is not working on the latest iOS 13.3.1 - anyone else having this issue? I did raise it with support as it did snooze for 15 minutes a while back but they couldn't help. I also suggested to support to allow more options like 5 or 10 minutes like you can on the PC. They said to raise it as a suggestion, which I did but that will never happen unfortunately. Microsoft Outlook Version on iOS: 4.23.01.2KViews0likes0CommentsHow does importing a Calendar from an .ics feed REALLY work??
I have the .ics feed URL from a calendar in another system (Blackboard Learn LMS) that has been added to my Calendar in Outlook on the Web via the "Import Calendar" > "From web" function. My goal is to create an item in Todo (the "new" Tasks thing) for each even on that calendar feed. I've created a Flow that does this, but the problem is that duplicate Todo items are being created for each event. To figure out why, I created a SharePoint list and added a step in the Flow to log the Todo item creation there, including the "ID" of the event from the calendar. What I found is that every 4 hours (the default "provider limit" for the .ics feed), the events on the calendar seem to get replaced with duplicates (same data, different event ID), which explains why new Todo items get created. It's seeing them as "new" events on the calendar because, well..they ARE new events that just happen to be identical to the old ones. In any event, is this how it's supposed to work when you import a calendar from an .ics feed URL? If so, it seems kind of, well, dumb. Or, could this be that the "provider" (Blackboard Learn LMS) is responding with all events each time it syncs/refreshes rather than just "new" events? As a test of this theory, I'm going to import another web calendar (from Google) and see if I get the same result. But, if anyone has experience in this area or can point me to some documentation on how this feature/function is supposed to work, that would be fantastic.947Views0likes0Comments
