I am trying to import .vcf files I generated with OfficeLens (which I uploaded to a OneNote page). While the summary page in OneNote shows the correct Names the acutall vcard I am trying to use has the coding totally wrong. The version string says 3.0, but the text file is encoded in plain text and NOT UTF-8 as it should. Also german umlauts get casuled as html instead like ü for ü. So no real surprise in the end that outlook screws up the import. I am aware that this is the outlook section and that I basicaly just talked about an OfficeLens problem, only realising that while writing :-) Besides I noticed now there is no section for OfficeLens, so it would be nice if some tech in here could get the attention of an officelens dev. to fix this. The current state of the bussiness card import option is useless :-( Also, I might be reading the specs at https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2426 all wrong and it is not OfficeLens to blame for the problem but Office 2016, who knows. :-)2.2KViews0likes2CommentsOutlook for Android Sync Contacts Slider missing?
Hi, recently the ability to sync contacts between the Outlook app on Android and Android contacts seems to have been removed. In settings in the App there used to be a slider switch that said something like "Sync 57 Contacts". It is gone and I don't know how to sync contacts now, any help appreciated.5.9KViews0likes1CommentOutlook for iOS and Android is adding your most requested calendar features

I like this feature but every App uses his own folder for saving the attachments. Outlook 2016 ProPlus (1703 Build 7967.2082): root of the users OFB Outlook Web App (German): OFB\E-Mail Anlagen Outlook IOS: OFB\Outlook I think there will be a way to share the informationen between the development teams to use one folder for all Outlook Apps, for example "Outlook". So we don't need to explain users why Outlook needs three places for that feature. Thanks and Good Day. Okay, I originally thought this bug only affected the Outlook Mail app on Windows 10 Mobile. As I've continued to research this and speak to other users I've concluded that the bug has nothing to do with Outlook at all, but rather the touch keyboard in Windows 10 (both PC and Mobile). With that said, this is posted in the completely wrong forum. I will keep the post here if it's okay with moderators though, since my Feedback Hub post is linking to this URL. What I have surmised so far is this: the bug affects Scandinavian touch keyboards (Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish) in conjunction with Word Mobile, Word Online and the Outlook/Windows 10 Mail UWP. (It might affect more keyboards. Don't have the time to test them all. Have however tried with French, Italian, English US and Englisk UK, and none of those are affected.) The @ symbol on these keyboards has somehow stopped working as intended. (I.e. it doesn't print out a @.) When using your touch keyboard on either a Windows 10 Mobile device or a Windows 10 pc/tablet, the @ sends a command to change the style of the text from "Normal" to "Heading 2". My original post is still below. What happens in the video at the bottom is the same result I've been able to reproduce when trying the other scandinavian languages, and when testing the touch keyboard on my Surface Pro with Word Mobile, Word Online and Windows 10 Mail. Original post with original edits: Edit: I've tested with Danish keyboard too. The bug is present there too. So this is not only affecting the Swedish keyboard. Edit 2: This bug is affecting not only Outlook, but Word Mobile as well. Edit 3: After more research I've found that this bug not only affects Windows 10 Mobile, but also the PC version. I've reproduced the bug in both Windows 10 Mail and Word Mobile on my Surface Pro tablet. The bug only occurs when using the on screen keyboard (touch keyboard), not while using a physical keyboard. While using the Swedish keyboard for writing an email in the Outlook Mail app on Windows 10 Mobile the "at-symbol" doesn't work as intended. Instead of outputting a simple "@" it changes the formatting of the text in the mail to "Header 2". English keyboard works fine. Here's a video of the bug in action.4.2KViews0likes2CommentsOutlook mobile turns 2 and now comes with your favorite apps
Two years ago, Microsoft launched Outlook mobile with the goal of helping you accomplish more while on the go. More means an inbox that helps you focus on the emails that matter most. More means a calendar that can manage your entire day, not just show you your schedule. And today, Microsoft is excited to continue that mission by bringing apps to your inbox with add-ins for Outlook on iOS. The Outlook Team is thrilled to collaborate with Evernote, GIPHY, Nimble, Trello and Smartsheet and bring their add-ins to Outlook on iOS. The Team is also making a few of their own add-ins available today with Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Translator, with many more to follow. Hello everyone, I would like to share the TechNet Wiki article I ricently posted. The article may be useful for Outlook Add-in developers. It describes scenario of migrating or sharing the end user settings/preferences between COM/VSTO solution for Desktop Outlook and the new Office JS web based Add-in by using Roaming Setting. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/36345.sharing-user-settings-of-outlook-add-in-between-comvsto-and-office-js-worlds.aspx Happy coding, Slava Ivanov968Views0likes0CommentsOutlook add-in for mobile devices
Hi everyone, We've created an Outlook add-in, https://keluro.com done to improve collaboration around business emails. It works fine with Outlook desktop and OWA but the add-ins are still not supported for iOS (iPad or iPhone) and Android. Does someone has any news about when it becomes available? Thanks, Gregoire1.2KViews0likes2CommentsVote for Outlook for iPhone without routing through third party servers
If you check the privacy policy of the Outlook for iPhone app you will see that emails, credentials and data is stored and processed by a third party company named acompli. They name it a MS company but why should MS not just use their own servers in their datacenters for mobile users? Perhaps that now you ask yourself why we do not just use Echange connect through the native iPhone apps. As we had problems with a calendar in Office 365 I opened a supportcase and asked for help. MS wouldn´t investigate the problem as we use the iPhone´s native apps for mail, calendar etc. even though the problem must have been an issue related to permissions in the backend as I could see calendar details I shouldn´t see. They just closed the case because they only support Outlook and Outlook WebApp. WepApp doesn´t work properly in our environment. It just stops syncing after some days. So the only app we could use is Outloo for iPhone which doesn´t fit our needs for compliance. Please vote for a compliant Outlook App for iPhone without third party.
